It has been a little while since we’ve called into Karuah so we dropped in to get some oysters they’ve done up the shop and it looks really great the staff are really friendly and helpful and I hope you enjoy your oysters as much as I enjoyed mine thank you for looking after me from MWH

Overnight stay in Karuah on way home after 5 weeks in Tassie. Used to buy a Zac's oyster pie before highway bypass, but it's closed now and found this business on the river. Compared with the pacific oysters in Tassie even the large ones here were quite small and some really thin. Possibly different species of oyster. Tasty, salty and a little metallic compared to the tassie ones but still deliciously fresh. Slightly more expensive than Tassie. The prawns were absolutely delicious. Possibly the BEST I've eaten. Fresh, salty and with a crunchy bite similar to bug. The taste was superb, sweet with almost a hint of bug flavour. Even the head fat was delicious.If it wasn't a 6 hr drive to get here I'd be a regular.

Fourth time purchase, always on the way to and/or back from holiday in Forster areas. So fresh, so reasonably price with prompted service. Love it.

Love these oysters unfortunately they are closed so call ahead to avoid disappointment. On the plus side it shows they hold high quality standards.

The best oyster I have had in the Australia trip! It is better than Sydney and Tasmania one. The view is also wonderful.

Discovered Cole Bros Oysters at a stopover in Karuah. Seriously good oysters - plump, creamy and beautifully briny. Add to that well priced and much better value than Port Macquarie offerings. We know where to head next time we travel north.

Requiring a toilet break, we followed the signs to Karuah and found this brilliant store only 50 metres away from the wonderful driver reviver park.

The best oysters you will ever have. We got 40 small oysters, the most tasty ones, and were absolutely superb. The shape, size, texture, quality, flavour... I will be lucky if I ever find the same quality of oysters again. On top of that, family owned!

We were really impressed by how fresh the opened dozen of premium (larger) oysters when we were on our way to holiday in Hawks Nest last Thursday. We decided to go back again on our way home on Saturday for another dozen of premium oysters and we even bought a jar containing two dozens of oysters to share with our family. Our families really enjoyed the jar of oysters which were still fresh. I met another customer who travelled over an hour from Hunter Valley to buy 6 dozens of unopened oysters so it just goes to show how good the oysters area. Steve and his family are very friendly and they work extremely hard to grow premium quality of oysters. I would highly recommend Cole Bros Oyster.

Love your oysters, love your service!!! Best oyster place in Port Stephens right on the river. It's a family owned business and the family members serve you. Ask them a lot of questions and advice - they are like a Tourist Information centre. Eat your oysters at the park next door. Last time I did, I saw a dolphin leap out of the river. The park is a good spot for a picnic, fishing, and swimming during summer. Hope they fixed the holes in the swimming net - watch out for the bull sharks!

Beautiful fresh prawns & oysters on a pretty location

The oysters here are so incredibly fresh, clean, delicious and well priced!! Customer service is nice and friendly and the location is great. My partner and I very much enjoyed eating outside on the park benches, while enjoying the water view.

Popped in yesterday on way to Anna Bay. Coming from the northern beaches, oysters here are by far the freshest, that I hope people will stop here for mouthwatering oysters and prawns as well 😋

Very friendly staff, family business and served by happy family members. The oysters are absolutely superb. Can't praise them enough.
