As from the name you can understand , it an Afghan restaurants. Afghans are good people and I like them. The taste of the food was really nice and I definitely will be back in this place.

Moist and very flavourful chicken. One of the best charcoal chicken we had. But if you are a small eater, we would highly recommend you to share cause portion is HUGE. Also appreciate the freebies (salad and afgan bread) that comes with our meal. Rice isnt dry and the carrots and raisins on top complemented the whole dish.

I came here in my teenage years and a meal here readily fed up to 2 people with the price of a meal being very affordable. The dishes are culturally diverse and the food a delight. I have returned in my adulthood, and once more I am delighted to experience this magical food that I can now share with my family. Still very generous servings, well priced, and extremely delicious.!

I've been their customer for more than 10 years and I really admire them for their consistency. Their menu is very simple and you only have a few options. However, the food quality is always outstanding. The staff are always friendly and attentive even when the restaurant is too busy.

Great place to get some afghan kebabs. The meat is deliciously cooked on charcoal. A kebab meal comes with plenty of rice and bread to go with your skewers. Friendly staff and nice calm atmosphere

Sahar is one of those places those restaurants where if you don’t know about it you won’t go. The food is absolutely amazing! The flavours are all throughout the meat making you want to get more. All the meats there are freshly cooked and bursting with juices. The portion sizes are good having enough food for 2, for just one meal.

Yum! One of our favourite places to get food. Shami skewers (lamb mince) and lamb skewers are always amazing. We get it with the bread, pairs so well with the mint sauce! We have this once a week and never get sick of it! Affordable and some of the best food you’ll try! Nothing fancy, but honestly well worth it than any other restaurant in the south east!!

I have been coming here for over 10 years. Not once have they let me down. The food is char grilled to perfection every time. The staff are kind and the service is always good. During peak times they get very busy which is understandable.

The meats are succulent and delicious, the breads are fresh and a perfect companion and the salads also tasty.

Best Afghan charcoal chicken shop in the area. Very fresh and delicious. The chicken skewer are marinated and cooked to perfection. Fresh Salad and dips. Excellent!

Family run business with friendly and welcoming service, and delicious food. The chicken and rice is great value as it has a lot of sliced chicken, and the skewer plates are great if you’re extra hungry.

What can I say about Sahar, it’s the best Afghan charcoal kebab house in town! Been here many times and they never disappoint you. We had a group of 6 turn up and ordered a variety of 5 meals there was so much food to go, so tasty well presented and for a reasonable price. If you are visiting Afghan bazaar in Dandenong, Sahar is a must. Highly recommend.

Always good. A great vibe, fast service and a generous feed. Meat, fire, rice and bread. There is no better meal. And don't forget yoghurt with mint to wash it down.
