Loved this spot! Hidden away gem that I'm sure many would not know exists. If you're in Dandenong or visiting Melbourne, definitely worth a stop over for lunch, dinner or iftaar as I had done. Yes it's halal. Service was great, the food arrived within 2 mins of order. Would definitely go back.

This place serves Halal meat.
I tried the Qategh; Roasted shanks served with pulav and spinach. Super tasty

The sexy worker with the mullet was really great at customer service and the food was amazing especially my favourite the chicken corn soup

Delicious food. The restaurant is a bit hidden for one that serves such amazing food. The lamb shanks and the roast chicken were both juicy, tender, falling off the bone and melt in your mouth. The spinach and chickpeas were delicious. Even the tea was awesome with hint of cardamom and mint. Loved the food. Will visit again. Highly recommend.

This is by far the best Afghan restaurant in Melbourne. Even though I am not an Afghan; I really like Afghan food. I have tried a lot of different Afghan restaurants but Sarwari is my favourite. Food is amazing and customer service is very good as well. Try their special platter called the Qategh; the Lamb Shanks and Spinach are just too good. Never had better Lamb Shanks than I did at this place.

Best place for traditional afghani food. The guy at reception is amazing. Will always welcome you with a smiling face. Sitting alright. 5 stars always for the food. They give both quality and quantity. Be mind of the location, it is located in the lane way, could be a bit confusing sometimes to spot.

Very tasty food and great hospitality make this place exceptional! We had paya soup, biryani and qabuli pulav , these were exceptionally tasty. I look forward to returning and to trying more dishes.
