Riverside Motel, Karuah

Great little motel as our first stop from home on the Gold Coast to Melbourne. We rang and booked direct with the motel and that was appreciated. Better than price on booking services and we like that the money goes to the business and not some overseas entity. Comfy bed and very clean. Literally next door to the RSL which has great meals. We'll be back!

Checked into room 5. What a great little property. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Beats paying $900 a night up the road. I had to go to a dinner at the Bay but chose to stay here and drive the 35 min to dinner. Very impressed and would 100% stay again. Easy check in. All just simple. Highly recommended!!

Love staying here. Clean, comfortable rooms close to the RSL Club that has the best Chinese Food!!! The owners are extremely friendly and make your stay pleasurable. This is our 3rd year in a row staying here and will be back next year!!

I’ve been traveling a week so far, stayed in hotels, motels and airbnb. This accommodation is the best of them. Renovated, private fridge, microwave, huge shower and bbq. Everything is perfect! If someone says don’t like this place, that’s a lie!

Lovely, clean, comfortable motel for an overnight stay. A little bit of noise from the road and other guests but nothing to spoil my stay.

Stayed at the executive suite. Excellent value, comfortable & family-friendly. Perfect place for stargazing!!! Highly recommended & I would happily return.

A great well priced Motel, neat and tidy. The staff are great to deal with. Easy to get to from the highway and well located with the IGA, Bottle shop and the Rsl all just a step away

A good little place, with simple but spacious and clean room and bathroom. Very conveniently located right in town centre - everything is within a few minutes' walk. Definitely recommended.

Last night of Qld school holidays. Hotel/motel rooms were scarce A friend called 9 sites for me as I had driven from Sunshine Coast that day. Fortunately The Riverside had a cancellation. I was delighted to get there. Small with great ambience, the room was spotless, sparkling white bedcover and matching chair covers. The room had obviously been freshly painted. The bathroom was spacious and clean and the sites location next to the RSL and 4 kms off the highway meant it was really quiet - no road noise at all. I have marked this motel for future stays. Very happy with my find

Karuah is a great quiet spot to break your journey without getting too far off the Pacific Hwy. I was delighted to find such an attractive, large and comfortable room awaiting me! All the conveniences of home too with aircon, microwave, toaster etc. I'll be back!

Where do I start? First impressions were thoughts of I hope I get a room for the night because it looks cozy & quiet. Walked into the Reception & was greeted in the warmest fashion by Lisa & her gorgeous smile. She was so friendly & hospitable. Walked up to my room and was blown away by the neat, clean, room & it's uplifting, happy decor. Sat outside for a chat with Lisa and another couple of lovely, friendly visitors of the motel & watched the distant thunderstorm & it's light show with the gorgeous sound of green tree frogs nearby. Highly recommend staying here for the night & more. I wish I was able to stay longer. Incredible service & genuine people who go out of their way to make you feel so welcome & comfortable.

Highly recommended motel to stay not so far from Nelson bay a very friendly owners and beautiful tropical decorations

Helpful moteliers, spotlessly clean, comllimentary wifi, off the highway so peaceful and quiet but only a few minutes out of the way. Gorgeous little motel with lots of original features enhanced with fresh paint and necessary improvement for comfort. Loved this 6 hour overnight stop! Thanks guys.

The manager Damian was most helpful. The room was very visually pretty, comfortable and well appointed.

Perhaps a warning sign for the deep ditch on public road as you exit your property would be helpful (no we didn't land in it LOL)

Wow !, some people are in the rite job ! From the easy call to book a room to being meeted with a welcoming smile ! The room was very pretty clean & very homely huingh shower lots of water pressure what needed ofter long time in the car .sound of the birds bedding down for the night oh ! Yes not forgeting the RSL for dinner too !wont be diappointed.

Was made to feel very welcome had just drove from Surfers on the way to Sydney in the pouring rain . The boss was friendly the room was very clean the club was close by Karuah is well worth a stop it’s a bit old fashioned but that’s the good thing about it Peter and Tina
