Great place for the whole family. It's a frontier town with information boards explaining the history etc. Very well done. A boating lake, steam train, horse drawn card and old tractor drawn cart.

Well recommended.

For only 10$ a night it was an amazing experience! There was plenty of space for tents and caravans, a swing for kids to play, clean toilets and a surprisingly spacious shower with hot water. The campground has a lot of wood to make fires. The caretaker was also very nice. Plus there are bars and shops around the campgroung.

Cheap as. $10p/n non powered site. Dogs are allowed on a lead. Great hot showers with decent water pressure. They even supply firewood and a brazier for you!

Perfect stopover campground. Great showers. Nice to have an IGA across the street. Not a campground I'd spend days in but excellent for an overnight.

Manager was super friendly and the place is great for a stop so close to port Macquarie or a weekend escapade with lots of room on the spots. You also get free wood to make a fire and they have amazing hot showers!
There is also a supermarket across the road in case you are missing anything for your stay

Great spot, cheap and not packed and crammed in like sardines. Great big showers and flushing toilets. Can have a fire at night. IGA, pub and a few shops across the road within walking distance.

A great place to stay for a few nights while we explore the area. This was ideal, reasonable price for a powered site - better than paying excessive prices to get a bouncy playground and other unnecessary facilities. Helpful and friendly host, good toilets and showers, shopping and pub across road... All you need. Highly recommend.

We had a great time! My 5yo kid loved the place. We spent a fair amount of time (9:30AM to 1:00PM) and we were able to get around and do all activities.

A fun family day out. Steam train rides, horse and cart rides, miniature train rides, tractor rides, paddle boats and panning for gold. All included in the entry price. Kids loved it.

Great camping spot. The care taker Craig was very nice and recommended the Coopers restaurant to have dinner to which we were very happy with. Great prices and great food. Our kids had a ball in Timbertown seeing and learning our heritage and loved the steam train. Bought back memories from when I visited as a kid. All the staff were very nice in both the restaurant and Timbertown. We will be back again in the future. Thanks for a good time.

One of the best place in Australia. It's a heritage town setup which will have different activities to do like paddle boating, horse ride, tracker ride and the best ride is a steam rail ride which is taking you across all the village.

This place was amazing! Not glamorous but my two kids, 3 & 5, has great time. Not as great a time as the adults though. You might go for the little train but you'll also have great time on the horse drawn cart, checking out the smithy (I bought a trinket I watched the smith make), checking out big old working machinery, learning all you ever needed to know about bullocks, and driving them, and the ice cream shop. The atmosphere is real and you get feel for timber cutting life. It was a time warp.
Keep away from the bullocks and watch out for the cart doing laps. Seemed pricey on the way in but pretty cheap on the way out.

Love this place! Well look after, hot showers all sites with tap potable water and bin containers.
Marcus ( if I remember well) did to our stay a whole new vibe!
