Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa

We did the sanctuary bathing experience which was the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. Multiple baths to choose from and 2 saunas. Flavoured water provided (grapefruit when I was there) at a water station. Salts and hand towel provided for one of the saunas to exfoliate with a cool shower inside to rinse off. Gorgeous aromatic sauna as well. Left feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Will be returning and highly recommend.

I really loved my experience today. I booked a sanctuary session online. First staffer I met in the front door was friendly and helpful - asked if I'd been there before and explained a few things when I said it was my first visit. The second staffer who gave me towel, robe and locker key was also friendly and helpful - he showed me the change room and the main pool area.
I tried all of the pools and saunas/steam rooms. All very relaxing and enjoyable in their own ways - the two steam rooms were a bit much for me, but I like that they provide apples and water as you can get overheated and dehydrated from saunas really quickly.
The spa sofa things were awesome, pretty intense jiggling when the jets are going though! It was a beautiful day outside so the view from some of the pools was lovely, very serene.
I would like to point out that I went at 3pm on a Wednesday, and basically had the entire sanctuary part to myself for the whole 90 minutes. But, the whole set up is quite small, so I would guess that sharing the space with even two or three other people would impact the experience. Especially if others were loud and chatty.

Had a relaxing mid week experience at Hepburn Bathouse recently. We were greeted by friendly staff from the start and were well looked after throughout our stay.
We enjoyed the bathhouse and sanctuary experience. It was a place to switch off and recharge. Warm pools and quiet. Loved the little special touches such as flavoured water to keep hydrated and the Peppermint smelling salts for the Sanctuary.
The change areas were clean and had local products to use in the showers.
The lounge area prior to our massage was a nice calm space and the herbal tea was great.
Had an incredibly relaxing massage and walked out feeling amazing.
The wellness villas were a great way to end our day and relax and unwind.
Overall loved our experience.

Absolutely love visiting Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa - it is my 100% favourite in the Daylesford area! It’s a beautiful heritage site and never been here in autumn but wow! Absolutely stunning. Definitely do the mineral bathing and get a massage - I always have a great one here. Perfect for self care and pampering weekend away

We had a 45min mudbath. Most relaxing 45min I have ever had

Warm staff to greet you. The pools were so relaxing and the surrounding architecture along with being nestled in nature really make this place special. I also got a massage which was amazing. The massage therapist was very attentive and asked a lot of questions before we started in order to make sure all my physical issues were known.

I was gifted a day spa package. I loved the whole day from the sanctuary to the bathhouse, tassting platter to the spa treatment. I opted for the 60 min massage, kathleen was so good at what she does i left so relaxed. The only gripe i would have is that i was supose to receive a free gift which i didn't receive.

Exceptional customer service

This is a review that is long overdue. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking as you enter the springs and bathhouse. You are welcomed by lush greenery and peace. Perfect atmosphere to unwind.

The interior is absolutely spotless and the desk clerks are well presented and greet you in friendly manner. I had a pleasant chat with both ladies as we were led downstairs and attended to by the wonderful Caylee and Josh. The lockers and locker room was also clean and it wasn't rocket science getting into the robes.

My favourite pool was the heated pool overlooking the exposed nature outside. It does get quite warm after a bit of time in the water so it was very nice having that contrast of fresh air hit you. There was also a jet activated pool where you could sit down and get a jet message. The pool outside was a bit noiser with families and kids enjoying the pool that is surrounded by the greenery.

The mineral pool out the back however is stunning. There is a beautiful sun roof up the top which reminds me of Ariel's grotto and I sung part of your world appropriately as I didn't know when I would be back next.

I have to give special mention to Caylee who entertained and served us exclusively throughout and she was an absolutely customer service star. Great to talk to and to learn about the pools. Josh was excellent in the duties he performed and always made sure we were topped up with drinking water. Amazing guy. And this was an amazing experience at a hot spring you will never forget.

The customer service I received at this spa house compared to others has been top notch. Natalie the guest experience manager knows exactly what she’s doing and how to ensure a happy customer.

Overall my experience was great, it is a cozy spa experience nestled away in an amazing location. At times it can get a little busy, but this spa house contains multiple pools and saunas so you can experience a bit of everything. The salt pool was a personal favourite alongside one of the spa pools having seats within the pool so you can actually sit / lay down inside the pool to relax, which I have not seen elsewhere!

If you’re in Daylesford or passing by, it’s worth coming in for a unique experience

Went on weekdays and was a brilliant decision. They have 2 packages for the spa, the one that allows u all access to all the pools is definitely worth it.

The outdoor pool was my favourite tho it’s a bit small and only can fit small number of people at a time.

The main pool was also really great, i find myself keep going back to the main pool cuz it’s so big and u have all the space u need to relax without the crowd.

Best message I have ever had!
Had a 1 hour body massage that released a few tight knots in the shoulders. I loved how they did both sides of the body and taking the time evenly on each part

Absolutely amazing experience. This is my third time here and I can't get enough !
Always feel a million bucks after a 2 hour sanctuary session.
Be brave and do the cold plunge it's so worth it after a nice sauna session.

A relaxing and tranquil experience. Enjoyed all the warm baths, including indoor/outdoor spa and the salt water pool.
Devonshire tea then a Full body Massage was amazing. Well looked after. Only disappointment was a cold shower 😱 Highly recommended overall 💞

Loved all the different options. the customer service was excellent. Steam room great. The main windows up the top all need to be de cobwebed. The garden the main lookout is not cer appealing. Very nice place to visit.

My husband and I had a fabulous midweek retreat with villa, all access spa options and full body massage, I can't fault this place.

We used two different experiences. A male facial and the mud mineral bath. Both were fantastic. Relaxing. Staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Not pushy. Didn't try to sell anything. Let us enjoy the time there and experience. We were relaxed and felt great after both experiences.
We also stayed at the Escape Villas for two nights. Beautiful self-contained one bedroom villa with great view, fire place, cooktop, bath tub. Private car spot. Purchased food locally to sit on balcony and enjoy with wine. Couldn't have asked for a better private escape to relax and switch off for a couple of days. Will definitely be going back.
