Another hidden gem in the city, serving really good Japanese food.

Loved the Japanese curry as its more spicy than usual Japanese standard.

Sashimi is fresh, soup is delicious.

Didn’t expect the spring rolls to be so tasty as i just wanted a vegetarian option for my wife.

Will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Been here 4 times and it never disappoints. A quiet and clean place, with excellent and friendly customer service. Food is super tasty and soft with reasonable average pricing (especially since its in the cbd, so worth it!). Would recommend bringing family and friends visiting from overseas, due to the aesthetic decorations that they could surely take many pictures of. Had a little mishap of food but the waitress was really sincere in handling it. Will surely come back.

Recommendation: Bento box salmon, Eel skewers, Salmon salad

Excellent and friendly service. We popped in near to the close time but they still warmly welcomed us to dine in. Food was so great we came back the next night for more.

📝: Discovering secret spots in the heart of the city. The interiors whispered tales of Japan in every corner. Slightly pricier than what we expected, but it was convenient and spacious.

❤: Grilled Saba Fillet Teishoku yummy and filling, a perfect combination of dessert, rice, and all things nice. The Grilled Unagi Skewers were a bit small, but tasty and perfect to eat with rice!

Nice restaurant with a really nice Japanese feel as well.

The foods took a bit of time to cook but they were really delicious.

They played Spirited Away anime on their TV when we were there.

We'll come back again next time.

Amazing atmosphere, Beautiful food and Friendly service. While waiting for my food I got lost in the immersion of the decor. Portions were above average and I definitely got my money's worth. Well satiated. If I was a permanent resident of the area, Tokyo 7 would most definitely be my most visited restaurant.

This place is a hidden gem in the city! With a lovely decor reminiscent of Japanese and a bunch of anime posters like Naruto, One Piece, etc. stuck around, it's a visual treat for anime and Japanese culture lovers!

The Kimchi Beef Ramen ($20.80) that I ordered was quite delicious. Personally, I'd have preferred a slightly thicker soup, but it wasn't a big issue. A lovely bowl of ramen on a wooden table, with paper lanterns fluttering overhead, a faux cherry blossom plant near the entrace made the whole experience so amazing! The menu comes bound in a wooden cover, so that's something.

The place serves alcohol as well.

Good price range, but I felt I paid more for the experience rather than the food itself, but it definitely felt worth it and therefore no complaints. The staff were friendly, the food came in quick and I'll definitely recommend this place for a wholesome Japanese dining experience!

Great decor, yummy food with really quick service and a great casual vibe.
I had the chicken katsu, dengaku eggplant, takoyaki and the signature Bento Box, all washed down with a nice cold Asahi and all delicious.

Everything was great. I enjoyed every moment there. Foods were really really good. Highly recommended 🍱

Good Japanese restaurant in a not so good location.
Went here for dinner and liked the food very much even tho not all dishes are authentic Japanese (coming from my Japanese friend).
Udon was super delicious, fried chicken was nice and crispy, tofu was in point but sweet potato chips were just the normal ones deep fried.
Still enjoyable and unbeatable prices for the quality!!! Will be back

A hidden Japanese restaurant that we stumbled across. It was quiet at lunch time and there is plenty of seating. The lunch deal is pretty good, kaarage udon, a side dish and a drink for $20. The kaarage was fresh and hot and the udon was great. My friend got a don and the egg was cold so was not that pleasant to eat. Lovely place for a casual meal!

I am writing this review after having a spoon of chicken curry katsu. The gravy is yummy, and fried chicken is cooked well.

The ambience is really good, and the walls are posted with Japanese anime, i.e., dragon ball, Naruto, one piece, and many.

I’m from Perth and I just happened to stumble across this cute hidden gem!

First off the staff were absolutely lovely and the wait time wasn’t long whatsoever.

They play good music too and also have an amazing vibe with their decorations all over. ( I am a bigger person and their chair are so roomy)

The best plum fried chicken I've ever had. Crispy and juicy and so fresh. The eel skewers were also excellent. Very very good.
The place is so beautiful and the service was very lovely.

Order the seafood bento box for take away, food was nice and delicious, friendly customer service, food portion is kind of small for the price.

Best restaurant in Melbourne! Menu has changed since I last visited. Even more delicious items to try.

Great décor with a good selection of tasty Japanese cuisine. There is a good combination meal $20 for a delicious pork katsu with curry, octopus balls and a drink. The beef brisket soup is also fantastic and the fried chicken a hit with my 3 year old who couldn't get enough of it. Good dining experience for the family.

Maybe a little out of the way if you're staying somewhere central but it was real close to the hotel I stayed at (Oaks on William St), which was super convenient. Service was lovely, food was great - went here twice during my stay and both times did not disappoint.
