Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital

Brilliant day out for everyone
Lots to see and learn, it will take a whole day to see everything.
A wide range of animals and in some of the best conditions I've seen for animals in captivity.
Highly recommend the behind the scenes tour of the hospital. The staff are superb and very informative.
The cafe is good and reasonably priced.
Lots of shops around the park with plenty of souvenirs.

It is possible to get there by public transport, but plan ahead.
There are storage lockers too so you don't need to carry everything around.
It can get very busy but as it's a large site it doesn't feel it, apart from at the cafe or the crocoseum.

Absolutely fantastic the staff are so friendly and have such a wealth of knowledge. They have so much dedication with the animals. Plus if you spend a little extra you gat to experience interaction with various animals. Can not recommend the zoo highly enough.

Such an amazing zoo. Staff are so friendly. They had videos of Steve Irwin playing around the facility which was nice. Open green area with kangaroos where you can walk around. Also a walk through koala area where you can pet koalas in the presence of staff members. Good gift shop. The behind the scenes animal hospital is very interesting to see.

It was a self-guided walk-through. Glass walled treatment/operating theatre, recovery room and another animal therapy area. The visitors walk area had several comfortable chairs for a break or to wait for something to happen on the other side of the glass. Interesting experience.

Really educational about animals and how they need our awareness to stay alive. Really great job they do here. Sad and emotional to see Steve Irwin's work and history but great that his work lives on. Really cool to see the hospital too.

Excellent Stay, Excellent Service Excellent Staff, Suggestions : Need more seating around pool, perhaps an upper deck, Need to have a swipe card and boom gate to regulate paying customers from Random Visitors. Need a swipe card to enter pool , or force patrons to wear arm bands as so many randoms in pool. Other than that would definitely stay again.

Probably the best wildlife park that I have gone to in a long time. The animals are all lively and enjoying being in captive (weird but true). The live show “predators” was absolutely amazing. The trained birds flew all around the stadium and I have not seen anything like this before. The crocodile show brought back memories of Watching Steve on TV. Absolutely amazing.

If anyone come to Australia Zoo, it's worth to buy the sneak peek ticket to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. You can see animals in rehabilitation or sometimes even you can see animals in surgery.

Extremely quick response when my son found an injured baby lorikeet. Great communication and the girls were absolutely lovely.

As a licensed wildlife rescuer in QLD, this hospital provides an invaluable service. They are fantastic!

Such a great zoo founded by such a great family. The zoo layout is good and easy to navigate around, Africa and bindi's island are the greatest places to visit.

We saw a Koala having surgery.

Very Interesting and well worth the extra $2,- !

This is the ward that they Preform life saving surgery on animals and keep their rescue/ release animals.

We found this little fella inside climbing up a curtain. I am sure the crew at the Wildlife Hospital will take good care of him. Thanks.

My son found a bearded dragon being harassed by birds in a park, was barely responsive. We put him in a box and wildlife carers took him to aus zoo. My son was delighted that he could choose a name. He chose Rocka.

We popped in to check on her and she was suffering from fatigue, had a bit of r&r and was released back where we found her.

Really interesting perspective of what actually happens here. The veterinarians are on camera and will soak in a microphone to let you know what procedures are happening live

Found an injured possum and went to the wildlife hospital for them to assess it! Unfortunately, it was not a good outcome! The speedy assessment of its injuries allowed it to be put out of his misery! The wildlife hospital is fantastic thank to the vet and security officer for your kindness...please take of the wildlife, try to stop and check if there is a joey, try to bring the to the wildlife hospital for treatment as soon as possible, accident happen, be kind...

Best Zoo! Clean, interactive and animals so well cared for. Highly recommend.
