Beautiful bush location but still only short drive to town and beach.
House was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed.
Very serene and even had kangaroos visit.

We booked the holiday home for the first week of the December, five months before for the ten of us (all cousins) to stay for the 5 nights. The holiday home had everything for us. The best place for relaxing, exploring and indeed living with the serenity of the nature.

I recommend this place if you want to explore places nearby such as Albany Wind Farm, Green Pool & Elephant Rocks, The Gap & Natural Bridge, Giant tree top Walk, Granite skywalk, and much more to mention few.

Most importantly, the hosts were so helpful and responsive. They pop in to say hi. Moreover, they help you give some tips about the best places in the locality if you are new to the place.

It was overall, Best indeed.

We had originally only booked a 3 night stay. However due to a logistical hiccup with the subsequent accommodation we had also booked for our road trip, our best solution was to double the length of our stay at Denmark Forest Retreat. And what good luck that turned out to be! Put simply, we were very pleased indeed with the chalet, it's location and the town of Denmark itself. We were also charmed by regular visits from a female kangaroo with a well developed joey in her pouch. She seemed quite comfortable with us provided we didn't approach any closer than 3 metres. The wildflowers on the property and in nearby National Parks were a real treat. As for the owners, Jason and Melissa, they turned out to be exceptional hosts who really saved our bacon when our rental car broke down out in the boondocks. It's a whole story in itself but suffice to say that we shall never forget their prompt, pro-active and amazing generosity in rescuing us under very difficult circumstances just moments before sunset. And whilst staying in Denmark, don't miss visiting "Pepper & Salt Restaurant" just out of town for a truly superb fine dining experience. We were very, very impressed.

Our family of 3 generations recently stayed at Driftwood. This house was perfect for our stay and accommodated us all very comfortably. Would highly recommend for a family stay and we all hope to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Denmark at our Stay at Denmark Forest Retreat. Fantastic location, just out of town but you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Everything we needed was in the cottage and it was warm and comfortable. We hope to visit again one day.

We absolutely loved our stay. Nautilus was perfect for our family of 5. It was immaculately clean and was everything we needed for a fabulous family holiday whilst being a short drive to all the Denmark sites. Mel and Jason were so hospitable and lovely. Such an amazing place to stay, we absolutely loved it. The forest setting was very tranquil and beautiful, we loved the kangaroos. We loved the cottage, was very warm and cosy and we had everything we need. We loved the big TV and the dvds were very useful for the kids. The cottage was perfect for us , only thing is we wish there was wifi as we didn't get good phone reception with Telstra (but this was only a minor issue as the TV and DVDs helped).

We were two couples who stayed at the Nautilius cottage which has a disabled access bathroom. The cottage (and all of Denmark Forest Retreat) was very nice and comfortable and met all our group's needs. Jason visited on the night of our arrival and he was a lovely host. The Retreat is situated close to town without feeling as if it is. The bush surroundings are lovely, and as a birdwatcher I enjoyed walking around and seeing all the birds. I would happily return to the Denmark Forest Retreat and definitely recommend it for an enjoyable stay.

We stayed in Cowrie. The chalet was spotlessly clean when we checked in. It had all the facilities of home. The leather lounge chairs were very comfortable. Excellent TV and mobile phone reception. There were lovely views of the bush through all the windows and a visit from 2 kangaroos. It is a 5 min drive to the centre of Denmark. Would highly recommend the chalets for couples or families.

Cosy, warm, super comfortable, clean - set amongst nature without being too far from town. Jason and Melissa great communicators. Had everything you needed. Awesome quality glassware, bedding, leather lounge and Kent fireplace etc just felt a little bit more special than your typical chalet! Definitely be recommending to friends and family. 5 well deserved stars!

Our family holiday to Denmark stayed at the Nautilus cottage. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage, well maintained, clean,self sustainable, and surrounded by the beauty & calmness of the trees and vegetation. We felt very cozy and relaxed. Wasn't quite the bush escape I thought from photos, although a couple of the larger cottages up the back would give you that feel. The cabin itself was lovely and enjoyed the fire place, the view of trees in every large glass window of every room, and the peace and quiet. The kangaroo neighbours were a delight too. It felt and looked safe and clean with a lot of little extra hotel style perks you wouldn't get elsewhere for these prices. Customer service amazing and nothing was too much when I had to edit our booking. Worth it. Can't wait to go back!

Denmark Forest Retreat was awesome. We stayed in the Osprey chalet. The chalet was beautiful inside. It had everything you could possibly need for your stay. We stayed 5 nights . Jason was great when ee mentioned we wanted to go snorkelling he have us direction on best places to go and they were fantastic. Greens pool first. Madfish Bay and then we went to peaceful bay.
The fish and chips at peaceful Bay were outstanding.

Perfect place for a family of 10 in Drfitwood.

It’s insanely clean and even though it’s located in a forest setting, there isn’t a single insect found (which is incredible).

If you want to experience forest living without sacrificing city’s comfort and connectivity (wifi and strong 4G), don’t hesitate anymore.

Absolutely loved our chalet (Cowrie), it was like a home away from home. My husband and I really appreciated Jason stopping by for a visit and also his sight seeing suggestions. He recommended the Dam, and boy did that live up to our expectations. If you go to the Dam, be sure to ask for Sam, he makes the visit truly memorable!

We had 3 of the chalets to cater for a group of athletes from a surf lifesaving club. The location was great for accessing a range of different beaches in the area. Close to town to utilise amenities there. We used Driftwood as a base and the size of that made it perfect for a larger group. Plenty of space inside and out. The houses were all really well and thoughtfully resourced. Top spot!

We spent 5 nights at the 5 bedroom lodge and enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and all facilities were available. The environment was very peaceful and we felt that we were far from civilisation. Definitely going back.

Visited Denmark with my family recently. Our stay at Denmark Forest Retreat was simply amazing! Was a beautiful and cozy cottage style dwelling, all basic amenities provided, very neatly styled. Very close to local shops and servo so really convenient. One of the owners, Jason, actually came to meet us on our first night and gave us some amazing reccomendations as to local sights.
