Hay Shed Hill Wines

What a beautiful experience we had at Hay Shed Hill Winery and Rustico Resturant. Marina took us through our wine tasting at the Cellar Door, she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the Pino Nior, but everything was enjoyable. Definately worthwhile for wine lovers. And the degustation menu at Rustico was so thoughtful and flavoursome! Everything was delightful, but we particularly enjoyed the octopus (so delicious and cooked to perfection) and the almond tart (which was decorated with 'Congratulations' for our honeymoon. Resturant staff offered brilliant service. Sharon looked after us, but all the staff were wonderful. We left a tip. Absolutely would recommend this experience to those into good wine and food. The grounds are also family and pooch friendly. Thank you very much team. Laura and Matt Murphy.

We came for our daughters wedding & couldn't fault anything. The decor was simple but complemented the venue. Superb food, wine & absolutely terrific service from Phil & his team. Bravo Rustico.

Have been to Margaret River several times but never had an amazing wine tasting experience quite like today’s! A big thank you to Renzo who regaled us with entertaining stories about the wine, the many different varieties and so many wonderful tips and interesting nuggets about wine, its history, and more! His patience, innate storytellers’ talent and friendly personality made this first day in MR the best start of my holiday here! Lunch was also spot on and the food and vibe of this place was really special!

Excellent dining service and Francois was knowledgeable , professional and friendly through and through! My best mates selected this winery to celebrate our long awaited get-together and it was perfect ! I found the food pairings as notable as the lovely wines.

Had a great experience here - starting with a tasting and wine blending, making our own Bordeaux blend using Hay Shed Hill’s single varietals. It was a lot of fun, highly recommended as a unique cellar door experience. But even for just a regular tasting, the overall quality of the wines is outstanding and it’s a big list so there’s something for everyone. Shout out to Cara who was a very friendly and knowledgeable host who clearly knows her stuff.

We then had the delicious degustation lunch - they call it 5 courses but each course is 2 dishes so it’s really 10! Wonderful food and great value, do yourself a favour and add the patatas bravas to the third course.

We were given an amazing tasting experience by Karine. She is a rare gem whose level of knowledge and customer service is unmatched. The wines are amazing with no bad options (my wife even enjoyed the Shiraz, which she usually doesn't). The combination of the quality of the product and Karine's warm nature made our tasting experience easily amongst the best of the best! Highly recommend!

Karina is the best in the industry. She always makes us feel so welcome and caters our tasting to our personal palettes. She is so knowledgeable about the region and the wines. Came here for a wine tasting and meal. We had the gorgeous Karine who did our wine tasting. She was so informative and such good fun to have during our lasting. Have been to margs multiple times and this tasting was definitely our favourite. The wine was impeccable and the service just as good. Already looking forward to our next trip. Thanks Karine xx

Outstanding lunch. Had the degustation with paired wines. One of the best meals we have had. Charlotte was fantastic and made the experience that much better. Do yourself a favour and try it!

Lovely Venue, not the first time we have been here and definitely won’t be the last. Came in on a weekend away to show some family! The wines are always excellent, we were assisted by Claire who was lovely and her knowledge fantastic!

Amazing food and service. Although, the blonde French lady who was clearly head staff and welcomed guests was prickly, dismissive, rude, and out of touch with how to be polite. Besides that, the 5 course meal was fabulous, and the serving staff were amazing. Well worth an $1100 day of food and wine to take home. Just please retrain the Blonde French Welcoming woman.

HSH wines had been delivered as part of a mixed Christmas box. Loved those wines and we were introduced to more varietals at the cellar door. Excellent wine tasting experience and its complimentary if dining next door at Rustico (a must). Degustation lunch paired with HSH wines is now in my top 5 meals ever, so overall we had a very enjoyable day. Just a shame one of us had to drive.
