Had a studio 54 theme party for my nephew’s 21st on Saturday.
Olympia from the start was very professional and so helpful. She dressed my whole family at least 10 of us from head to toe. Would highly recommend.

Never been to a fancy dress, have my day debut on Saturday. The team here were very friendly and helpful. Had a look book, a huge photo wall. Heaps of options for rental or purchase.
The rental was for 3 days and had plenty of time to drop off Monday ( today) with a 6:30pm close time. Will be back I’m sure!

Very helpful, great staff helping, huge range. So many ideas , Very patient too, since we chopped & changed ideas a few times, but they helped so well with finding the right costume.
Costume was clean and well presented.
Wonder Woman and Ghostbusters outfits.
I added lots of extra flashing lights & gizmo's for even more effect. Looked great.

I have no would like to recommend The Costumery in Preston Victoria. I went to my mate’s 50th in NSW and people did not recognize it was me until I spoke. I had friends stealing my coat and hat as the night went on.
Dubbo is about as country a town as you can imagine - think blundstones, chinos and Ralph Lauren polo shirts, Akubras - then picture me in this costume walking 800m in public 🤪
I saw blokes looking at me and I said "nothing to see here brother" and they'd say "I'm not bloody looking" through laughter and chuckles. The kids at the skate park yelled out "Hey - are you are a man or a woman?" Then they started asking to get photos with me. In 800m I reckon 20 cars beeped their horns.

BUT one of the greatest moments was putting my costume together in the shop prior to the event. I started out just wanting to get in, get a costume, and get out. Quick.
But the wonderful staff, manager and even those trying on things around me got invested in tweaking the look until it really did pop. I was forced emotionally to get in the spirit and it made a huge difference even down to the belt. It was so much fun and if you’re a bloke and a bit reluctant, I recommend this team as absolute pros who will help you enjoy the fitting and your party night - all for around 100 bucks. It gave us photos, memories and a feeling of fun that will last a lifetime. Thank you team.

We had a great experience with Costumery. They assisted us to find the right costumes to hire for a ‘Blue Lagoon’ themed party, bringing us options in the change room and providing advice on wigs and accessories. So fun! When we collected the costumes they had been carefully packed ready for us. At the party we were a great hit and the Poseidon/Neptune costume won a prize! The staff were really pleased for us when we returned the costumes and told them.
Just be aware you aren’t allowed to browse the costumes yourselves - totally understandable, it protects the costumes - but it means you are best off having an idea of what you want before you go in. That said, there are many accessories to buy if you prefer as well as ready made costumes (not as good as the hires but yours to keep) to browse and there’s a photo wall of the hire costumes for inspo. Thanks Costumery we will be back!

Brilliant costume shop with super friendly and fun staff!

This is my goto shop for any dress-up occasion.
I have been here many times and the experience is always fun. There are a ton of outfits and the staff are super helpful. I always share the theme and they goto working picking out the outfits and piecing it all together for me.

We were invited to a 50th Birthday Party with a fancy dress "Bridgerton" theme. While we were excited for the event, we were also somewhat stressed about what to wear! It's not easy to find outfits from the early 19th Century Regency Era. But then we found "The Costumery" in Preston. Within minutes of arriving we were greeted by members of their friendly and very helpful team of costume experts. They put our mind at ease initially explaining their simple pricing (we paid $75 per costume plus a small bond) then invited us to try on a few options that they selected from their extensive wardrobe of costumes. The service made it so easy and the quality and condition of the garments and accessories was top class! We arranged to pick them up on the Friday before our event which was on a Saturday. We then conveniently returned them on the following Monday. A big thanks to their team for making this a great experience for us. Highly recommended. Very worthy of a full 5 stars!

The staff at the Costumery were fantastic in assisting us with our costumes for Halloween. We came in with an idea and they helped us bring our creation to life. Staff were incredibly supportive! Came in last minute for a costume and they were super responsive to my needs. They provided me with lots of opportunities to adjust the costume and tailored something perfectly for the occasion. They were knowledgeable about sizing and their stock, which sped up the process. As a bonus, the staff have a great rapport with each other and costumers which makes you love returning! I’m a huge fan and highly recommend!

I recently rented it, and the experience was great. Olympia was extremely helpful, and she made my experience so much better. The product selection is also quite great at this shop!

Such amazing service! They’re all over it in there ,i came in in a rush they helped me straight away, let me try on a costume, helped with accessories and i was out of there in less than 5 minutes. Their range is incredible! Will be coming back for every costume party (even though i’m 40 minutes away)! Bonus points they were dressed up too!
