The one star reviews for this store are by a bunch of lifeless plebs who obviously prefer things to be characterless and mundane. I don’t care that I can’t get through the front door of this treasure trove and will continue to visit.

Lovely lady just get to know her like a human. REAL LIFE

I drink good coffee every morning
It comes from a place that's far away
And when I'm done I feel like talking
Without you here there is less to say.

Lovely Shop. Owner is fair and does have a lot of odd things. There is a lot of items from estates and things range from old crockery to records. Worth a look out. Just be aware that mobile phones and cameras are not allowed in shop. Feel free to write notes for yourself with your own pen and paper

Intriguing store with plenty of things to spend a rainy (or sunny) afternoon checking out! A bit like shopping at a museum (in a good way). Open until later than most shops.

I’ve bought a number of things here (books and a framed message) and would go back for more. You can spend ages here looking through things...

If only some of the items could be marked down a fraction so that they would go quicker! Then there’d be more room to move around and see what lies beneath the other stock!

All my experiences interacting with the owner have been warm, although I did overhear her get upset at someone for taking photos without asking once. I guess just be courteous and you’ll be fine (as I have)!

If you’re interested in unions/collective action/climate change/social causes you’ll find a passionate conversation partner here.

An interesting place to say the least is this veritable hoarders paradise. Stuff piled up on stuff with very narrow little rabbit runs snaking thought it all. Slim people would have more chance of successfully negotiating through the labyrinth. The owner eyed me warily when I first entered and muttered something under her breath about people looking and not buying which she repeated to a hapless man who dared to ask whether he could see something which was obscured from view by a multitude of other things piled on top of it. As i worked my way around the dimly lit interior I did see many things of interest but they were either inaccessible or in danger of creating a landslide of stuff if they were moved. On the way out I spied a lonely single Doc Marten boot so I inquired of the owner if it might possibly have a mate. This seemed to spark some interest and resulted in a long anecdote about a former employee from 15 years ago who the owner regretted leaving and she wished she would come back and help her sort things out. Also that she thought there were about 1000 other shoes out the back if she only had time to go and sort them out. I would say that the place is definitely worth a visit as you might even find Jimmy Hoffa or Boo Radley here if you look hard enough.

Quirky owner. She'll ether insult you or have a nice conversation with you. I've experienced both scenarios.

The old lady sitting in this shop clearly has some serious mental health issues.
Zero coherence. How is this person allowed to have a shop open for business? What are the legal requirements? The verbal abuse customers endure by simply looking into the shop is reprehensible to say the least.

Quintessential Westgrath experience.... Okay, just taking the piss. Its obvious the proprietor (who may or may not be named Eleanor Abernathy) runs the shop as a front for her compulsive hoarding disorder and wouldn't be half surprised if she has several cats as pets. I don't think I've seen anyone buy anything and I have a suspicion the locals are in on the joke and dump their hard rubbish there too.

I went in this shop tonight with my teenage daughter. It is a shop full of mostly crap with possibly some good things which we couldn't see because the shop is so overfull that most of the stuff is covered by other stuff. This means that to enter you need to make your way past the cranky old lady guarding the entrance (if she lets you) and teeter along a path edged by piled up things on top of other things to get any way into the shop. Once you reach a small junction within the second hand goods pile edged paths, a slight open corridor (to nowhere) opens up. I was intrigued to find a second hand sieve and grater priced at more than the ones I recently bought new along with a bunch of overpriced pots and pans.

Apparently mobile phones and cameras are not allowed in the shop (as we were informed on entry), and as we left, the lady owner asked to look in my bag, and not happy with a nosey, she rifled through it looking at all of the contents. I left horrified and embarrassed and won't be back to buy her tupperware cups at $5 a pop...

I went in to have a look at the shop and the lady was disgraceful... SHE WAS THE RUDEST LADY EVER... If I even can call her that...
I was looking around quietly and she said in a rude tone "I don't think your going to buy anything" At first I didn't think much of it... And I said "I'm just rummaging through everything" I was polite as well... But after that she was sitting in the isle of the shop where I couldn't get past to see the back which didn't bother me I thought she must have done that on purpose which when I look back at it she did... and then she had someone that she knew said hello and start a conversation with her then she rudely said "I want to close the shop for a minute would you please leave...
Then I just stormed out saying " You don't have to be so rude"
And yiu know what I saw 10 minutes later that it was still bloody open...
She might have really good stuff in there but it was to hard to tell coz it was so messy and it would take days to go through it which is half the fun but she could have cleaned it up a bit where you don't have to climb over everything to get at it...
I will never spend my money there considering she was absolutely horrible... No custom. Er service at all...
PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME... Go somewhere where you will be welcomed...

I don't believe it's actually possible to purchase anything from this 'shop'.
Only try and enter when the owner(?) is distracted on the phone, you have been warned.

Do not go here! The owner has harassed us on several occasions, either for walking past her shop too slowly or for looking in the window! Think that’s she’s probably unwell, but shouldn’t be allowed to run a shop on such a main thoroughfare.
