My Asian Neighbour

We have been wanting to go here ever since they opened! Our experience at My Asian Neighbour, an Indonesian food restaurant, was nothing short of exceptional. The gorgeous, fresh, and spicy dishes were exquisitely presented. Service was attentive & pleasant & prompt. Every item we ordered was not only delicious but left us eagerly planning our next dinner at this fantastic restaurant. We're looking forward to bringing along some good friends to share in this highly recommended culinary delight.

Such an amazing cozy little place that serves great food! Atmosphere is similar to dining in Indonesia which is a bonus! Definitely do book in early if you want to eat at the garden area. Food does get super spicy which I absolutely love!

I must say that this restaurant is one of my favourite local places. It has became a regular place that my partner and I order from, almost as a weekly tradition. The food is always fantastic, quickly served, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our absolute favourite dishes include the nasi and mie goreng, the roti brata (with delicious peanut sauce) and the beef rendang. We have never been disappointed in something we’ve ordered. I would highly recommend others to try their food too. I think you’ll very easily become a regular customer like us.

Good food and portions. Very busy. Had skewers, roti and Balinese banquet and nasi Goreng. All delicious. Only thing I would like was if there was some extra spiciness to the dishes. I did ask but everyone has different level of spice. Otherwise, good food and atmosphere. Would go back to try other dishes. Recommended A+++

It's been straight up almost a year since I have been here and I still think about this place. I honestly was not expecting the level of cooking that was done here. I loved every single bite that I had. The staff was great and the chef who I met was extremely nice and kind. I would definitely recommend coming here if you have not already. I am going to be a life long customer to this restaurant.

Fabulous food! Authentic Asian dishes! They were very happy to accommodate food intolerances! Reasonable prices too! It was great to sit outside and be able to bring our dog!

My wife and I have been coming to My Asian Neighbour regularly for over a year and we have loved it every time! Whether it's takeout or dining in: the food is also exquisite and delicious. Lily and Wayne are amazing hosts and Lily cooks just the absolute best food! In addition: we can bring our lil puppy dog down who always gets all the cuddles and attention! Overall, a fantastic place to eat and we will continue to come back!

Attentive and friendly staff. The food was amazing, full of flavour and great price point. The restaurant has a very authentic atmosphere and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to be served.

Indonesian Restaurant to go for in north Melbourne. Small cozy place with super tasty finger licking food. The curries are super yumm with great depth of flavour. The variety on the menu is great so can visit this place again n again..

This restaurant is a little gem, cute and comfy. Wayne and lIly are all the time friendly and often they offered to us a drink having a chat at our table. The atmosphere is amazing indoor and outdoor. The best Indonesian vegan food in Melbourne. We love you guys!!!!!

One of my absolute favourite places to eat. I’ve had a lot of meals here since opening & everything has been so delicious, perfectly balanced & full of flavour. I literally wake up most days thinking about Lilly’s chilli eggs. Staff are super locely too. Cannot recommend enough. Get your butt down here & make sure you order the green beans as a side.

We were blown away be the quality and variety of their excellent Indonesia food. And I lived in Bali for 8 years. What a great find and it was nice to meet the owners Lily and Wayne too.

Stumbled across this small little cafe/restaurant by chance and so glad we did. By far the best Indonesian food I have had in Melbourne. Super flavourful dishes and reasonably priced. The staff/owners were all very friendly and the whole place had a “treat you like family” vibe. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back again.

This was our second visit and it was even better that our first. When I made the booking I’d said it was for my husbands birthday. When we arrived and we’re shown to our table, we found it all decorated for a birthday party!
The food is the best Indonesian you’ll taste in Melbourne. And the Bintang are ice cold.
Do yourself a favour and pay a visit to My Asian Neighbour. You won’t be disappointed.

Mantap! A word I used inside the restaurant, extremely warm customer service and the smell, the sauce, the juice, so yummy! It feels like indo Bali, despite of me not being there😁,so I said to myself "so this is how it feels to be in Bali", generous serving, you must try Babi, nice and juicy inside you. I will be back for more!

I was really excited to discover this place when I first moved to Reservoir and I go here regularly. It has such a homely vibe, the staff are so friendly (it really does feel like your neighbour) and the food is always fresh and delicious.
