Gelato Messina Windsor

My favourite gelato place.
Always go for 2 scoops.
Chocolate sorbet always at the base. Love the refreshing sweetness with strong chocolate flavours.
The second scoop is whatever specials are available. This time this was a peanut butter based flavour which was creamy with a hint of salt .

This weeks specials were insane! I typically try one special and do one scoop of my standard fave but today I deviated to two specials and could not have been more satisfied

Not sure how I haven’t reviewed this place before as I have been here on countless occasions but in any case we had a cake from here today at a birthday which was utterly divine. I’ve had this particular cake in the single serve before at a pop up event and I have to say it’s more enjoyable in the smaller size as you taste all of the elements whereas in a cake you may get a slice of only some components.

The section I got included a lot of the dark chocolate gelato which is quite decadent and a little bitter for my palette. I definitely prefer the sweeter peanut butter layers but a very impressive party trick nonetheless

What a really cool place this is. Staff will let you try the ice cream before you buy. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable. Open late!

The passion fruit is my favourite ( which might be too sour to other’s taste!) super fresh and the perfect balance of sour sweet.
But the quality of cake is not as good as the gelato!
We have ordered the boysenberry cheesecake for birthday however it is way too sweet and we have followed the instructions of keeping it in freezer then put in chill for 15-30 minutes before eating , the texture is quite hard, and the biscuits layer is quite salty. Probably will not order cake again from it considering it is also pricy ($72)

Absolutely love Messina.
When ever driving past, we stop for ice scream. Atmosphere is busy busy and lots of chatter. Staff are friendly and ice scream delish.
Very affordable compared to other ice scream parlours. Around $7/8 for a double scoop.

Say no more…. The best ice-cream ever plenty of flavours to select! Get down here before the peak as it gets super busy.

Really friendly staff and a great selection. I would just go hang here on my own and eat a scoop! They are happy to let you try whatever you want too so you get the right choice :)

What's not to love about ice cream, gelato and other gourmet desserts? Gelato Messina have the gourmet dessert and gelato market down pat. Plenty of size options to pick from in store, reasonably priced and equitable. Maybe have a flavor in mind before you get to the counter to keep the queue moving for other patrons.

Great ice cream flavours, nice big scoops at a reasonable price. It was so so hard to decide on which ones to choose. I’ll just have to come back again and again to try the other flavours

They have a lot of delicious favours. I’m on my own adventure to try at least 80% of them 🤗.

I personally think that Gelato Messina is one of the Ice Cream shops in Melbourne and probably Australia. The Dulce De Leche is a true remark on the ice cream and is really the top of the top. The staff inside are very nice and friendly and the ice cream is fresh and proper. If you are at in Windsor and had the choice to choose between Messina or Pidapipó, Messina is the nicer and better option as they are nicer staff, better flavours and overall the ice creams are just better.

Staff were a delight to talk to. Exotic and adventurous flavours. Slightly pricey however, it's a cute place to take a date for dessert.

Would recommend the yoghurt berry flavour!

A must try when in Melbourne. I thoroughly enjoyed my pistachio, dulce de leche & macadamia crunch. 🤪 Wasn’t a fan of their apple pie because of the crusts. But that’s just me.

One scoop should be fine but I was stubborn and opted for 2 scoops & ended up not finishing my ice cream. 😔 Anyway, it just might be too sweet for others, just make sure you drink water after.

You can't help but love Messina. Their unique flavour combinations are so well thought out. You can't get gelato like it anywhere in Melbourne. Never a disappointment!

Nice place with good ice-cream choice..
It's in the main road so easy accessible, the place is good too and have a variety of ice-cream choice...
Everyone is bound to get confused which one to choose from the ice cream range, at least I was...
