The Exchange Hotel Kerang

It started with getting a complimentary drink voucher with any meal from the caravan park. There were a surprisingly quite a few people for a midweek dining occasion, but plenty of room for us to seat. You order at the counter and give your table number. It was good to find seniors options available. I was able to swap my chips and salad for vegetables instead.

I’ve eaten here with my wife a bunch of times now and we keep coming back for more. Have tried quite a few different meals from here. Chicken schnitzel is great and the fries here are always fresh and just the way I like them. Today I tried the ribs for the first time and was blown away. They fell off the bone and had great flavour. The owner and staff are always lovely and the bar itself is very welcoming. Would have included pictures but there was nothing left to take a photo of :)

Travelling with my chihuahua Chuck from Queensland to Kerang for emotional reunion and was delighted to meet with Bob who welcomed us to the outdoor dining area. I rate myself as a connoisseur of chicken parmigiana and this was the best I have had EVER!! 11 out of 10 for the Napoli sauce, tender real chicken and loads of the best cheese. Half serve is huge and with the best salad and chips. Would go back in an instant but just a bit too far. How lucky are Kerang folks to have such a gem on their doorstep. All the best to you all.

Highly recommend . Had a meal here last night as Was in walking distance to our motel. Very busy , but service was good. Had a bit of an issue, which wasn't at all with the meal or service and Caitlin the publican went out of her way to help and it Was very much appreciated , lovely to see good standards still apply in a local business

Lovely lunch had Seafood platter- wouldn’t normally pick this (elsewhere most come swimming in oil) glad I did- was perfect- the surprise was the salad -peach mango advo -was yummy-just thought I was getting a bit of lettuce,tomatoe and cucumber. Passing through but would come again if coming this way.

Originally born in Kerang but now living in Geelong I made the trip to see family..We dined in your restaurant several nights..The staff were all super friendly and OMG ...the Porterhouse was next level amazing 😍 Seriously THE best Porterhouse I have ever had .👍👍👍❤❤

Beauitful chips,exceptional chips, had seafood basket, normally very oily at other places but here it was yummy. Salad at other places are normally lots of coral lettuce, here was the good lettuce, sundried tomatoes, carrots, cucumber and onion. Seafood is the crumbed frozen stuff but what would you expect from a country pub meal, it still tasted great.

Had a great time at the Exchange. The staff are very accomodating, and the food was top notch.

Kerang exchange has great staff that look after ya! And great drinks on tap with awesome vibes!

If you are travelling thru Kerang make sure you stop and call in to the Exchange Hotel Bob and his team will make this a memorable experience. This old pub has been renovated inside and has a fantastic outdoor area for meals as well as the bistro inside. The food is 5 star and is very reasonably priced. Thanks to the team for our lunch today is absolutely amazing we’ll done to all the staff. Try the local Mallee beer as well very tasty!!

Not many options to eat out on a Monday night in Kerang, so I thought I’d try the Exchange Hotel. I’m so glad I did. The young lady who served me was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. It’s great to get a pub that lets you have Salad and Veg to fill your plate with a lovely steak and doesn’t force you to have greasy chips.

We had a great lunch there today with some friends. Great food, drinks and service. Really pleasant experience. 👌👌

Went down for a feed and love it, very good staff and service great meal full credit to the cook must say one of the best parmigiana lve ever had. Fair to say it was a great place to go for a feed and to relax after a big week at work, thanks.

Excellent meals, I had a steak sandwich, really nice, too big for me, I couldnt eat it all. Lamb Shanks w mash. My wife had the lamb cutlets which she said were beautifully cooked. Quiet, relaxing. Friendly Staff. Very happy. Great pub. $20 Porterhouse, cooked medium rare was very good. Tender, juicy and flavoursome. Sitting right next to open fire on a cold wet night.

This is an exemplar of a great family run pub with very clean friendly ways with local free live music . I stayed with my son and can only rate the place as excellent in every way. Great open attitude and everything a country pub should be.
We stayed for a night. Super comfortable and restored with good sheets, comfy bed and clean as a whistle. The managers own it and run it and as they say survived covit. All very attentive and safe.
I cannot rate an establishment more highly and don’t often do reviews. But this family deserve to be swamped by success.
Don’t be fooled by the price. This is magic. Well done and thanks.

All meals where great including lunch menu. Room was very neat and well priced . Service in the evening was good however ,service at lunch could have been better as staff member was not overly interested, unfortunately,.

AMAZING CHIPS! 1 thing that makes a good pub great is amazing Chips and they do them brilliantly. Their menu is awesome, cocktail list is hilariously jocular, the facility has been developed with love and the beer is ice cold.

Roast day today was great- meals had all the extras including mint sauce. Great value. Speedy, good beer selection, friendly accommodating staff. They're doing new things, and it's all good!

Have been here before, great meals, attentive & lovely staff. Tonite was Parma night, photos attached are The Pope, with bacon, egg & hollandaise, & mine which I can't remember the name but a delicious pulled pork with BBQ sce. Couldn't finish them, but so yum.
