Lovely service from the wait staff, and the food was fresh and delicious! The Beef Rendang was one of the best I've ever had, and the Nasi Goreng with satay sticks was tasty and substantial. We also got some prawn wontons which were crunchy and tasty. Will definitely be going back to try more of the substantial Malaysian cuisine on the menu!

Been here several times and the food is always consistently tasty and feels home made! I love how you can get Malaysian food and a coffee in the one spot. Brillant! Hot Tea Tarik is perfect brew, coffee could be stronger. Customer service here is fantastic! The venue is warm yet casual. Thank you and see you again soon to try more of the menu.

Such a cosy, warm local eatery that really hit all our cosy food cravings.

Situated in the row of shops on Blackburn road in Doncaster East, two circles cafe offers delicious food and warm service.

Highly recommend the Beef Rendang and the curry laksa. The roti was also a great time with the curry sauce that’s just full of flavour.

Don’t forget to ask for Sambal sauce!

Delicious authentic Malaysian food executed perfectly. We have tried a number of their hawker dishes and they do not disappoint. They serve coffee and alcohol as well which is an added bonus. Very good service staff as well. Always polite and accommodating. Will be back for dinner service!

served with warm water in a chill day, feel pretty good 👍.
nice dishes and friendly staff, recommended.
8/10/22 Still good food and taste, however the Malaysian fried rice and the prawn cake are a bit salty for me. Maybe that's the way it is, just a personal opinion.

Very authentic Malaysian cuisine with reasonable price. Though it’s not a big cafe but can cater big table when you have family gathering. Kids friendly too and love the curry laksa and Roti!

Second visit here. To try their weekend special - Assam Laksa. Overall is good. However personally I would prefer it to have stronger taste of Assam. Also would be better if it’s served hotter (in terms of temperature) though I understand that the broth might be precooked and heat up upon order.
Beef Wat Tan Hor is delicious!

Delicious Prawn Noodles and Fish Head Bee Hoon. Will be back to try other dishes.

A bright and spacious Malaysian restaurant. Friendly staff, quick service. It offers a variety of meal options, from roti to rice to noodles. It also has a good selection of drinks and ice cream.

EDIT: can report the below review was during a period of changing chefs. Can happily report Two Circles is back to its usual best! 5 ⭐

----------

This was one of our absolute favourite restaurants in Melbourne, with exceptional Malaysian food as good as you can get anywhere. But we were quite disappointed today when we went. The menu seems to have changed recently, and the quality and generosity of the food has suffered, sadly. Our favourite dishes, for example the laksa and the prawn wontons, were either much smaller than usual or well below the usual exceptional standard. We understand that costs are going up, and that takes a toll on businesses. But the casualty shouldn't be the quality of food because this will hurt businesses even more.

Hopefully we can see a return to the old Two Circles sooner than later. We love this place very much and hope to continue to support it.

We recommend this local spot to anyone!

I really love their crispy mee wat dan hor. Portion is generous. I also tried their special pork mee - pork mince and meatballs were so delicious and freshly made, portion of the noodles could probably be reduced slightly since the meat portion wasn’t enough to go with the portion of noodles.

Curry cheong fun is by far the best I’ve tasted in Melbourne, their curry sauce and house made char siu is top notch.

Other things we tried also included the roti canai with curry chicken, sweet and sour pork, salted egg yolk chicken ribs and green beans with pork mince. Nothing to fault and great service.

Great food here!

The salted egg yolk chicken ribs are so full of flavour and tastes exactly like you think it should.

The hokkien Mee is good but could do with a little less sauce or having the sauce thicker.

The Wat Tan Hor is one of the best around. I'm looking forward to trying it with the crispy mee.

Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended!

Went here after seeing some good reviews in Facebook group. So glad that I chose this place after whole day on the road.

Portion was good as you can see on the photos. Laksa were really nice and delicious, maybe just need a bit more chicken. Had iced teh tarik and 3 layers milk tea as well. Service was great, the staffs were really nice.
Definitely will come back when we are in the area. Want to try the other foods on the menu. Looks good when I saw them on the other tables.

We usually just come for their hawker dishes at lunch time. First time having dishes with rice and OMG. Why in the world have we waited so long to come here for dinner? The dishes were absolutely delicious with no MSG used at all. The mock mojito went perfectly with the spicier dishes. Overall an extremely satisfying night.

Really delicious Malaysian food! We usually get the Hokien Mee, Chicken rice, fish head noodle soup and Wat Dan Hor with ice teh tarik. So far we haven’t been disappointed. The Hokien Mee and Wat Dan Hor are our favorite. The Hokien mee has strong flavor from the rich thick sauce and pork lards and the wat dan hor with Ying yong is just really delicious, got wok hei too! Staff are friendly and place is usually busy so make sure to book or come early!

Very nice and friendly staff. Not a massive fan of Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine I'll be honest but food is good. pork lobak is kinda like a ngor hiong but it was made with a thicker coating sort of like a crust instead of a thin beancurd skin, but very nice. filling wasn't overly strong with what I think usually is 5 spice powder (which a lot of other place usually do) and was very soft and juicy. it also doesn't have weird chunks of soft bone/cartilage which was nice. paired nicely with sweet chilli sauce.

Wanted to try something new so I ordered marmite pork and I guess it is not everyone's cup of tea but and I think I have had better. Sauce was simply marmite - sweet and savoury with that fishy-ish umami taste. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it BUT I think when the dish was first served, the sauce was too runny, only when the dish has cooled down slightly, the sauce thicken but then the pieces of fried pork have already soaked up some of the sauce and it became soggy. Also had a couple pieces that was 90% fat and like 10% meat. I think it could have been made better. just my opinion tho would love to hear what other people think!

The fried tilapia as what you would expect, crispy and very solid chunks of meat. but the nonya sauce THO. sweet, sour Assam with a good kick of spice (think it was both ginger and fresh chilli blend). Very very good! Went very well with my coconut rice which was super fragrant too! fish was fresh even the meat around the head and belly area barely had a tinge of fishiness.

the most important thing in an asian restaurant I think is the rice. dishes would be nothing without a nice bowl of rice. Gotta say though both their steamed white rice and coconut is up to my very high standards for rice so 5stars + extra points for awesome rice.

Wish I lived a bit closer so I could come back more often to try their other dishes!! one of the nicer restaurants definitely reminds me of the food back home!

Really yummy food with big portion sizes too. Highly recommend their wat tan hor (stir fry rice noodles w egg chiffon sauce) and their Chee Cheong fun!

Their chee cheong fun is soooo yummy!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 the Chee cheong fun (rice noodles) were silky smooth. You can choose curry or sweet sauce and it comes w Yong Tau Fu, fried beans and fish balls 😋😋😋

Wat Tan Hor comes either with a seafood combo or normal (I think that’s w chicken). I have gone there twice and ordered that twice now!

The service is super friendly and the staff are so passionate about their food.

Consistently the best Malaysian comfort food for me. The nasi lemak chicken curry is bang on - every, single time. It’s always busy and seems to be a favourite with the Malaysian expat community. Staff are friendly and always stop to say hello. 6 stars!

Delicious food. The handmade curry puffs were perfection 👌 as was the Nasi Lemak and everything else we ordered. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again and again to try everything on the menu. Great local.
