Bald Hills House

We had our wedding at Bald Hills House last weekend and it was nothing short of perfect. Ian and Kym went above and beyond for our every need. If you are after a laid back, rustic style wedding then this venue is for you.

The scenery is breathtaking all around the property and surrounding hills, where we got some absolutely incredible wedding photos. The barn was perfect for our wedding of around 130 but could easily hold more if needed. The house itself has a great charm, getting the fireplace lit in both the cabin for the grooms party the night before and the larger house for the bridal party and family created a nice atmosphere throughout.

Loved every minute of our stay and we will be coming back again for sure! 10/10

Had our wedding at the beautiful Bald Hills House in January and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The rustic yet fun vibe of the venue suited us so well. The location is stunning, surrounded by gorgeous forest. We had the pleasure of kangaroos on our doorstep, echidnas wandering by and even a koala hung out in one of the trees on the property for two days while we were there. How often can you say you had a koala at your wedding?

We loved Bald Hills for our daughters wedding. A lovely rustic, eco-friendly venue and bush setting, 5 bedroom house, 2 bedroom cottage and great barn to celebrate in. Also off grid camping available. We stayed 4 nights so time to set up, have the wedding, photos etc on site, relax the next day and enjoy the whole set up as well as the pool.
Ian is a great and easy going host and very helpful with the bar and any problems and suggestions for the venue.
Our family and friends all had a wonderful time.

We had our wedding weekend at Bald hill from the 13th - 16th of April.
I mainly worked with Kym throughout our planning and she was great with communicating and making sure everything was perfect for us.
The venue was so nice, good vibes, relaxed, we were able to have our dogs and partied through the whole weekend.
There were fire drums available which came to great use at night.
It’s a nice secluded venue with minimal reception so you can really be in the moment with friends.

Absolutely perfect and completely equipped with everything we needed for our big day. A rare gem that provides everything for anyone looking to have a fabulous wedding day with little stress but still picture perfect! Kym and Ian made it so easy and everyone that came commented on how beautiful the location was. We hope to be able to stay again with our friends and little ones. Such a beautiful place, perfectly suited for anything from parties to family events, big or small, weddings or getaways! Couldn’t be any happier! We had our wedding at BHH and it couldn’t have been anymore perfect. The location, the venue, the style, the vibes were all absolutely unreal.

Our only discrepancy was that the generator would not get turned on for us the night before the wedding to see the barn lit up which was a shame. However,

The beds were so comfortable, we loved that family and friends were accommodated for on-site, it made it all the more special and seamless of an experience.

My vision came to life thanks to Kym Ian and the amazing vendors we carefully selected.

Everyone said that they had the “best night ever”.

It was my fairytale wedding, and I wish I could do the day over again and again. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

I had my wedding here in April 2021. It's an amazing and stunning venue. Ian the owner is super chill, easy to work with and was always responsive to my calls and messages.

For a wedding, he's taken care of so much of the logistics with what's already included in the price; chairs, tables, big bar fridge, waste bins, lighting, fires and wood, toilets, a shower for campers etc. We pretty much rolled in, put some flowers onto the tables for decoration and the barn/party space was as good as set up and ready to go.
The grounds are well maintained and looked stunning for each of our visits.

Bald Hills House itself & Sawyers Lodge are just beautiful. The craftsmanship in the buildings (and barn) really make you feel like you're part of the surrounding environment. Bedding, towels, all the things you want when staying in a house are all there.

Cannot recommend this place & the quality of service provided enough. Thank you again Ian. You helped make our wedding super easy, provided a stunning space & service and our forever thanks goes out to you.

Bald Hills House is utterly spectacular. We stayed at the venue for 4 nights and held our wedding ceremony and reception in the rustic open barn. Getting married surrounded by tall gum trees and celebrating under the starry sky set the scene for our laid back wedding.

Ian was a terrific host. He was kind, helpful and so quick at responding to my many questions. Ian was also so flexible, allowing an early check in and late check out which was most appreciated.

Whilst you can hire matching furniture, I adored the vintage, eclectic tables and chairs that Ian has carefully hand picked.

The venue actually works out to be excellent value for money when you consider all of the inclusions. You have room for at 20 ish guests in the two houses plus camping space, you don't need to hire a marquee/tables/chairs as you already have a huge undercover barn filled with furniture, and there's a permanent toilet block for guests. And that's only to name a few of the many things included.

I couldn't have hoped for a more perfect setting to celebrate our marriage. Thank you once again Ian!

Being parents of the groom, we had little to do with the organisation of the day. However, only one thing can be said .... Ian and his facility is one hell of a fabulous place.
We stayed in the House Friday and Saturday nights with ample loungeing room for all. Five bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. So very comfortable. Ian has the foresight to make ease of use the facilities and enjoyment for guests his priority.
After dark, the whole place, including the huge gum trees is lit, making it a fairyland.

Great holiday getaway! We enjoyed a beautiful weekend celebrating our wedding. Great location in Stanley amongst the bush with a big barn to cater for functions or weddings! 5 big comfy bedrooms and a pool! Defiantly worth a stay with a few people or group! Highly recommend! Ian the owner will make sure your stay is perfect.

We stayed at Bald Hills house and hosted our wedding there and it was fabulous. Ian's laid-back attitude made everything super easy in the lead-up to and on the day and the pool was the IDEAL hangover cure. I would so happily live on those couches in the pavilion every summer for the rest of my life.
The property does have its quirks - which it helps to be prepared for, the off-grid nature of the property does pose some challenges when trying to get ready for a fancy-ish affair - the limit to the number of hair driers we could have plugged did require some monitoring. But overall it was exactly what we wanted for an off-grid, out of reception (ish) event.

It was such an easy venue to use for the weekend and the night of our wedding ran so well with the staff the venu supplied.

Having our wedding at Bald Hills was absolutely perfect. We wanted a beautiful, natural and relaxed location too celebrate, and that is exactly what we got.
Ian made sure everything ran perfectly and we had no problems. He had everything we needed to make the day amazing and was super knowledgeable on the operations and timing of how it would all run.
The location and setting, words can’t explain and pictures do not do it justice. Bald Hills was the first and only venue we visited and knew immediately that was where we wanted our wedding.
We were able to have our friends and family stay in the house or camp on site, which meant our party didn’t have to end. The venue once the sun goes down gets even more impressive. The Sunday poolside breakfast was almost as much fun as the wedding.
We can’t recommend Bald Hills House and Ian more highly. From the first planning, (some covid changes), the wedding day, till the time we left, everything was perfect. We will be back to celebrate many other events there as soon as possible.

Absolutely stunning.
A quiet, peaceful place to have a reception or function. And conveniently located between Beechworth and Myrtleford.

Got married at Bald Hills House on 10 April 2021, (our 2nd attempt after covid intervented in late 2020) hiring the entire property, (main house and cottage) for 5 nights. The property itself and the accommodation is unique in the best sort of way and easily accommodated 14 family members.
We took advantage of the all of the equipment, furniture and facilities in conducting the wedding which, weather aside, went very smoothly. This was due in no small part, to the efforts of the property owner Ian who was fantastic. From lighting and maintaining fires, both at the wedding reception and in both houses over the course of the stay, to making an emergency run into town for more local Chardonnay for thirsty guests, nothing, but nothing was too much trouble for him. His recommendations on a number of our wedding services providers also came up trumps.
This establishment is top rate, unique and very bush Australian. Highly recommended.

We got married here Nov 2021 and spent a great 4 days on the property. It was perfect for our DIY wedding, stunning scenery, all you need in one place, no noise or time restrictions so could party the night away!

Recently stayed at the Bald Hills House and it was the perfect country getaway. Great location, outside of house fully fenced for any canine companions, and the surrounding land is stunning. All facilities clean and owners will get out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

This place is amazing for a few days away with friends and awesome 5 double bedroom house with a pool but if it's cold the fire place makes the house so toasty you don't even feel ut. And if it's a wedding you want then wow!!! Look at the photos!!!
