Jolly Swagman Motor Inn

Brilliant place to stay after a long tiring drive as just off the highway and super easy to find. Management very helpful, with phone booking easy and confirmation text reassuring. My room was warm, clean and light left on for me on my arrival. I have stayed here a few times and couldnt recommend it more highly.

Clean, spacious, room with comfy bed. Quite location. Staff friendly and helpful. Chinese restaurant is excellent. Only fault is they need to look up and dust the cob webs.

Overall, it was a good experience staying here.
The manager was helpful, and the booking process over the phone was easy.
Had a queen room, which was quite large with two comfortable arm chairs to relax in.
The bed was great.
Everything was very clean.

We were travelling to Melbourne from Newcastle and had a stop over at The Jolly Swagman hotel for the night.
What a great little gem it was.
Jason, the host went out of his way to make our visit very enjoyable.
We were personally shown how to use all the amenities in the room.
The room was very spacious and clean.
The bed was really comfortable and parking outside of our room was very handy.
Little table and chairs outside was a bonus.
It was lovely to sit in the afternoon sun and admire the gardens.
We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on site and it was fantastic.
We will definitely be back as we will be travelling to Melbourne yearly to see our son.

It is great to support the small towns that have been bypassed by the big highways. On check-in we were met by a very friendly manager at reception. Showed us the room, how to use the aircon and switches etc. Even offered to help with the bags. The rooms were large, everything worked, electric blankets etc. Very clean and had two large very comfortable arm chairs to watch the TV. The bed was just how we like it (medium firmness). For a budget motel in a great location to break our 11 hr drive in half, it offered great value for money. The Chinese restaurant had a large menu at great value. The food was very nice and made it easy as we didn't need to drive to get dinner.

We've found our perfect stop over on our way from South West Victoria to Canberra.
Jason could not be more helpful. We hope to dine in the Chinese Restaurant on our next trip.
We have stayed at the Jolly Swagman on numerous occasions now and the service and quality remains high.
The Chinese restaurant is a favourite with us.

Jason was very welcoming, friendly & helpful.
We had 2 rooms & he was very accommodating with moving one of us to a different room, which was appreciated.

The rooms are a little dated, however very spacious & clean, (which is paramount to me). Breakfast utensils are provided.
Had a good night’s sleep & enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunset with a 🍷.
The RSL is close by & we had delicious meals there on first stay & return trip.
We had 1 night at Jolly Swagman again on return trip from VIC.
We’ll definitely be back again on another road trip.

We booked this place for a night stay while driving from Sydney to Melbourne. It was a cold night and the host, Jason, had already turned on the heater in the room to welcome us warmly :) The room was really generous in space and cosy and clean. The location was perfectly close to a highway exit and an easy to reach. An onsite restaurant was just what we needed and it had a good range of food. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed overnight here again on road trip to the Hunter Valley, booking on line was easy and the reception from the owners was extremely friendly. The meal at the Chinese restaurant was excellent, we highly recommend this motel.

Stayed here early September and the owners were most welcoming from arrival to departure. Room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfy too. Didn't have to go far for food as the Chinese restaurant attached to the building made this convenient. I'll be bringing my dogs next time we stay as I found out they are a dog friendly motel which you don't find anywhere. Thanks Jolly Swagman!

Me and my boyfriend and a amazing stay! We originally booked for one night as we were stuck with a flat tyre and were waiting for it to get repaired. The lovely manager asked if we would like to stay a extra day free of charge as there was a cancellation which really helped us out! Will be definitely staying here again if we pass through the area :))) highly recommend

We, (3 kids and I), were stranded in Holbrook due to car trouble. NRMA booked us into the Jolly Swagman. I cannot overstate how friendly and helpful the manager was - so empathetic about our situation, flexible, even offered to lend me his car if we needed it. Just amazing. Very grateful in what could have been a horrible experience. Meanwhile, the local bakery is awesome, so is the mechanic, and the pizza from the Riverina Hotel was great and delivered to our room. All smiles here.

Love this place! So clean and nice and Jason is so friendly. The atmosphere is really sweet and welcoming and you can tell there's heart in the business. Holbrook is such a lovely town. Will stop here every trip between Sydney and Melbourne.
