Tried emailing with little response so called and got a really helpful guys and suggested I bring my light in he found a really good match .Sooo helpful . recommend them.

I'm a residential customer (and they seem to be aimed more at Electricians) and have been here many times and ordered in several items. Always had great service.

Bit pricey for non-trade prices but that's their business I suppose

Specialist store, not for idle browsing

Very Expensive, customer service very hit and miss. Store layout is bad. Almost all product is behind counter, so much time is wasted asking staff to see options.

I was served condescendingly by John who “runs the place”. When quoting the specific brass reducer that I’m after and despite calling ahead to check stock, not only was I made to repeat myself multiple times, without any questions on his part to seek clarification on what I was after. I was then told “I don’t know what you’re talking about” and “we don’t sell that here”.

When I offered to write it down for him, I was accused of “speaking with an attitude” and that I could “go elsewhere”.

I have never receive such poor service or treatment at Bunnings or other hardware stores.

Please see the conversation that happened today between my wife and an electrician referred via your store. My wife cancelled the appointment & the response from Nick who was referred by Middy's Hawthorn was that we should find a unlicensed and not insured electrician if we wanted the work done cheaper. My wife chose to ignore the message & he sent another text 12 hours later stating AS EXPECTED FROM AN INDIAN. I have been here for last 10 years and haven't seen such a ridiculous and racist response ever. Unfortunately, Middy's you get a 1 star in this scenario as i think Middy's need to set expectations with their tradesman if they are going to refer them business on how they need to treat the referrals. Please avoid Nick Theo from Balwyn Electrical contractors

These people have no resoect for others time. Checked their trading hours in google showing them working on Sundays. But after driving for 20 mins found them closed. They don't bother to update their trading hours.

Middy’s refereed us an electrician from balwyn electrical contractors. Stay away from this Electrican called Nick. He got anger issues started doing racist taunts when reschedule an appointment. Completely unprofessional.
Can’t believe middy’s would refer an electrician like that. I won’t even dealt with them for this.

One of the most expensive middys branch in the whole Melbourne.
And the staff is also very rude.
Will never shop from there any more in my life.
