Special Pho Ngon

The Pho here tastes like no other Pho restaurants in Melbourne. It's on another level of fine craft. That’s because the owner prides themselves on serving an authentic “old Saigon style” broth. The broth is full of flavours yet so balanced and not too overpowering with the spices such as star anise, cinnamon, cardamom or gloves like at other places. The noodle (pho) texture is super silky and melts in your mouth. What surprised me was that they also serves the refrigerated pickled white onions that you could only find in one of the most long standing and popular pho restaurants in Saigon (Pho Dau, if you know, you know). Last but not least, the Kobe beef pho has the most tender beef slices you could imagine.

Love their broth, perfect everytime, love their beef and chicken combo, very tasty and clean don't feel thirsty afterwards like other places that pack on the Msg. It feels very homely, this is my favorite place to get my pho fix. They are quite generous with the lettuce you don't just get a few leaves. Definitely recommend. I think it's better to dine in rather than takeaway.

Tried out a new Pho place cause our usual was closed. And glad we did, cause this was pretty damn good!

They had a Kobe Beef special pho. Was so bloody tender! Loved it.

Broth was delicious and the while thing tasted fresh.

Pho noodles taste authentic like how my grandma cooked when I was little back in Saigon. Serving portion is a bit small though.

Kobe pho.
First time experience at this place and after telling the waitresses that I've never had it before and them just to recommend something that's popular.
They where helpful and meal was great.
I'll admit though my European stomach still felt hungry. 🤣

Great customer service from the owners and staff. The broth was excellent. We had the Kobe pho special and I highly recommend it! Beef was just so tender. They also don't pack on the msg like many other places do, which is so rare to to find now days. The family and I enjoyed the delightful experience and will definitely be back again!

Miles cheaper and better than some putain crossianterie in Fitzroy. Nutrient rich, cheaper than 30, solid portions, fast, no nonsense service, comforting as it should be and tasty. What more could you ask for? Break the hipster trend and don't be disappointed after a hard night out.

My favourite spot for Pho! Wholesome family run restaurant who put love & care into everything they do. Always warm welcoming & kind to customers. Food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended 10/10

Pho with sliced beef here is always good. The beef here is very lean and the soup is tasty. The tomato rice with Shaking Diced Beef is also good. The service is always friendly and attentive, which made us always feel welcomed when dining here 😊. Will definitely come back!

Rice paper roll were super fresh and the peanut sauce one of the best I’ve had.
Chicken fried rice was really good as well. And amazing iced coffee.
Staff is lovely and caring as well.
