The Habitat Space Reviews

The amazing classes and ongoing support from the teachers at Habitat Space played a very important part, both physically and mentally to my pregnancy journey. I participated in Reformer Pilates and Barre classes right up until my due date. The small class sizes allowed for a tailored experience that met my needs at the time. I felt empowered and strong leading up until my birth and can feel the difference it has made to my recovery post baby. I’m counting down the weeks I can return as a post natal client! Thank you Ursula, Lara & Andrea!

My body (and mind health) is very thankful for the Habitat Space! The staff are great, professional and knowledgeable. I focused on Reformer Pilates, but I also tried the other classes too. All are excellent. The one month intro trial is generous and got me hooked. I liked that the classes are boutique style with only 8 reformers, making it a more intimate experience with individualised attention if required. I've done Pilates all around the world for some years, and the Habitat Space stands out. Thank you Ursula and staff for providing invaluable health, positive energy, knowledge, and the opportunity to sculpt awesome bodies, minds and happy Nervous Systems, at your studio! x

There are so many things to love about The Habitat Space, so I don't even know where to begin this review! The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming for people of all ages and abilities. I always feel supported and accepted from both members and instructors alike. The classes are always diverse, fun and challenging whether that is Barre, Pilates, Yoga or Reformer Pilates. I have taken classes with various instructors since I started here and they are all absolutely phenomenal! If you are looking for a yoga/pilates studio then I absolutely recommend that you try The Habitat Space.

The Habitat Space is more than a studio for my physical health, it is a calming and beautiful place for your mental health as well with a great range of classes and the sense of community is second to none. Ursula and all the instructors are genuine, generous and greatly knowledgeable and caring. I always look forward to visiting the studio throughout my week.

I have been attending The Habitat Space for over 4 years. It is a warm welcoming studio with attendees of all ages, shapes and sizes. I particularly love the Barre classes, so much so that I move my work commitments so that I can attend a morning class three times a week. As a ‘middle- aged’ women I have definitely seen a change in my fitness, energy, and tone since attending the classes, but more importantly my body feels strong and flexible – a perfect combination for the physical aspects of my work, and gardening on the weekends.
Ursula runs a very professional and organised studio; all the instructors are suited perfectly to the demographic with a good variety of classes, I would highly recommend for mental and physical well-being.

I've been coming to Habitat Space for about 4 years now and I absolutely love it! There is such a diverse range of classes; I never get bored. And all the instructors are absolutely gorgeous and caring and genuinely love what they do. It really feels like a community; I've met so many wonderful women (and men) and made some life long friends too. Highly recommend getting one of the memberships. It's great value.

I’m still new to the Habitat space, but Ursula and her team have really created a wonderful, welcoming and calming space to exercise! I love group fitness but have found previously that other studios lack the care factor, or form a bit of a clique that isn’t as open to newcomers. This definitely isn’t the case here! Great job 😊

Thank you to Ursula and the team for creating such a positive environment. 😊

Started here 3 months ago after a lot of pilates and barre elsewhere. A definite 5 star. The studio is a what I would call medium sized and is fully equipped with a dedicated mat/barre/yoga studio (with barres and mirrors), and dedicated reformer studio. The studio has a great range of weights, bands, balls, etc. music, A/C, etc. to cater for everyones needs. The staff are knowledgable, experienced and very capable with a variety styles that ensure that classes are always different. Instructions and guidance is always clear. They also seek and are receptive to feedback. The studio and staff cater well for young, old, first timers and experienced people, along with the expecting with differing challenge levels classes. While some classes fill, it's never a problem getting into a class or time that you want on any day. Booking is via web or app and works well. Parking is easy with a good availability of spaces at all times outside and very close by. The vibe is friendly, relaxed and easy going. There are no cliques or competitiveness, etc. Pricing is great with a lot of different options and no onerous contracts like the larger places. The intro offer is more than enough to try it all out. It gave me the confidence to buy a longer membership plan.

I’ve been going to classes at the Habitat Space for around five years, dipping my toe in the water with reformer pilates, then adding yin yoga, and finally barre after trying the virtual classes at my kitchen bench during lockdown. I love that I can attend a variety of classes in the one studio, and that there are incredibly reasonable packages available allowing me to do this!
Ursula and her team foster a very genuine sense of community in the studio – they know the names of attendees, their injuries (if any), and their health and wellness goals. From time to time, there are studio challenges and pop-up events as well, which I find break up the routines we find ourselves in by encouraging us to try different classes, or push ourselves that little bit harder (which we definitely need sometimes).
I love that Ursula is a great supporter or Australian and local businesses as well, stocking a curated range of goods in the studio. I am the proud owner of a few pairs of pilates socks purchased from this range, and have had to restrain myself from buying more!

The Habitat Space is a wonderful community where you can have fun exercising- Pilates, barre, yoga, reformer,HIIT. I’ve been a member for 5 years and while we can’t go to the studio at the moment, on-line classes are available and we are still having fun with the fabulous instructors.

Great studio and amazing people.
The Habitat Space on Wawerly Road in East Malvern is just opposite to nr.3 tram stop and within walking distance from Monash Caufield, Carnegie station and Darling station, restaurants and coffee places are also very close.
At the Habitat Space you can choose how to get fit thanks to their complete offer of courses and fitness programmes (yoga, pilates, barre, reformer). I particularly recommend vinyasa and yin yoga classes and barre classes. The teachers are all very professional and friendly at the dame time.
With it's white walls and two well-equipped studios, the habttat space is an oasis of peace, a lovely place where to get fit and hang out with amazing people.

I walked in here for the first time not knowing what to expect. Ursula came to greet me, and she was so lovely and welcoming I forgot that I was there for first time. Have done two classes with them and they have been fantastic. Looking forward to many more.
