Munchies Cafe & Takeaway

Really friendly and welcoming place!! I literally had a standard bacon sandwich but it felt home cooked, and the bacon was done perfectly, what’s not to love?!

My family and I just came down from the Casino hotel in the Gold Coast and their breakfast was $40pp, stone cold and below average. support local, always!

This cafe was just fabulous. Cosy and inviting. We dined in. There were 5 of us and we all had different breakfasts and coffees. They were all delicious. The staff were so nice and could not do enough for you. Please support these people they really deserve it. We were just staying overnight. This set us up for the day and very reasonably priced.

Honestly best deluxe egg and bacon rolls. We have been away for a wedding in Nelson bay and food everywhere we have been was average and over priced. Then on way home to coffs harbour we pull in to little Karuah and best idea my husband had. Also coffee spot on . Thank you girls so much for ending our weekend so nicely. Also young girls super friendly. A must stop at place AAA+++

Greeted and served by lovely people, we enjoyed fish/calamari and chips. Basic, yes, but cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Will happily return here every time I'm in Karuah!

I came off the freeway to get a bite to eat having had enough of the fast food a plenty along the freeway and came across Munchies. What a surprise and a delight, asked for a salad sandwich and the gentleman serving as if I would like cheese and ham. To my absolute amazement I got a perfect sandwich from the 60’s on plan white, no sour dough, no wrap just simple white bread. It was the best sandwich I have had for many may years. Keep up the good work guys.

Best pit stop on a long drive for a quick feed with great service. We had a burger, nuggets and two dotty cookies

Very yummy food at decent prices. The "plain" burger was gigantic, and if you ask for potato wedges with brown gravy you will be very happy. The pancakes were good but very small (about silver dollar size), and the sausage & spaghetti is surprisingly delicious. My husband also ordered the chips & gravy bun - literally french fries and gravy in a bun.
Their cafe drinks also come with a cute little Cadbury mint patty. All in all a very satisfying visit :)

Amazing local business, with such a nice service. We were a big group with kids and the owner was so patient I taking the order, then delivering with a smile. Food was fresh, Bondi Chai, amazing. We will come again.
Support your local business instead of going to Maccas and profiting an American corporation. This place is very close to Pacific highway and is way better in quality.

Cosy little cafe with a warm fireplace to sit by on those cold mornings/days and have a decent meal. The owner is very friendly and welcoming,he takes good care of his customers as he opened the doors to my family & myself before he was even open allowing us to come in early morning and sit by the fire place while making us food and coffees and giving the kids some little biscuits. I highly recommend this place.

Good size and tasty breakfast, staff were great. Nice place to stop.

Absolutely brilliant. Best and freshest breakfast. Leaves the ones on the side of the freeway for dead. Lovely greeting and quick service. Five minutes off the highway. Give it a try.

Cute family place, basic decor, but the food hits the spot. I got the works burger with wedges. A very good option. Have none of the complaints Carla had below

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and food! Our family is gluten free so they made us a side salad to go with our bacon and eggs, highly recommend.

Called in the other day after a disappointing Plough Burger at Buladelah pub. Works burger and coffee was excellent. Friendly table service and good value. Worth the short detour through Karuah. Will be back.

Great place for family eat in. Good old fashioned great burgers and super friendly staff. Worth the diversion off the highway. Lovely scenery nearby.

Very nice family run cafe. Simple menu but food lovingly prepared. Prices were great too & owner very friendly.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious. Great stop for young families who need a change table, couch for breastfeeding or small table or high chair for toddlers.

Good food and coffee, we always stop here when we go north and on the return trip
