Excellent place in Nelson's Bay! They do tours around the facility as well as food in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and service was extremely quick. Highly, highly recommend the whole fish dish. Cooked to absolute perfection and paired beautifully with other ingredients. Plenty of options for those who don't like seafood. Definitely a must!

What a great destination. Tour was informative and interesting. Included hydroponics. Meals were a tasty. The whole fish looked and tasted delicious. Barramundi spring rolls worth a try. Couldn't fault anything.

Lovely and very approachable staff. As soon as we arrived, they greeted us with smiles. The food was great. I will recommend this place but don't forget to book 😉 😊

Beautiful restaurant/cafe… it was lovely food and friendly staff members. My kid was offered some fish food to feed koi carp onsite. For meal we ate Thai Barramundi. Was delicious.

We did not have time to see the fish farm due to timing but they said they have a tour which I want to try again.

The only uncertainty we had was that, after turning onto the street where the restaurant’s sign was displayed, there were no further signs or indications to confirm that we were headed to the right place

Well worth a visit if you are in the area, make sure you book ahead as they get booked out very quickly. We ordered a selection of Thai Style Barramundi, Aussie Style Barramundi, mussels in Napolitano sauce, garlic prawns, kids pasta, kids chicken tenders and kids Barra bites - the stand outs were the Thai Style Barramundi and kids Barra bites; the fish was tender and full of flavour. The service was friendly and the restaurant has a very relaxed country farm vibe to it. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a dog friendly attraction and rang up here to do the morning tour. Was about to leave when I got a phone call to say that unfortunately the tour was cancelled due to some issues with the tanks. I was planning to do an afternoon tour elsewhere so didn’t bother to leave my number but decided in the end to come back here and do the tour they were so helpful and friendly, remembered my name the dogs are allowed to come on the whole tour

On my way back as I had been raining I casually mentioned maybe I get a hot chocolate and even though the restaurant and everything was closing they got the milk and everything out and asked if I wanted a hot chocolate which I thought was lovely as most places once they’ve cleaned the machines won’t make you a drink. As it was raining will even allowed to sit in a corner inside so we didn’t get wet or cold. Found the staff extremely helpful

Unique location and experience on this Barramundi fish farm and restaurant.Also grows its own hydroponic salad vegetables and has selection of excellent food options apart from fish. Owners are delightful people ready for a chat if you wish or leaving you to enjoy the lovely surrounds.Outside balcony is dog friendly. One of the gems of the Hunter region.

Wow. Their beer battered fish crunched with a naughty crunch that rivals even the freshest of Australian fried fish. I got stung by something on the ankle, but pain is temporary, aquaculture is forever. We learnt all about hydroponic lettuce growing - did you know it takes only 18L of water to grow a tomato using a hydroponic system?!? Regular tomatoes could never!
Our guide was really friendly, super informative and very attentive to our group’s questions.

We escaped the heat today and enjoyed a lovely lunch. The food very tasty and our wait person, Courtney was friendly and we appreciated her menu knowledge and assistance. We'll be back!!

Loved escaping the heat in the air con. The food was good and Courtney was a very gracious hostess. Looking forward to a repeat visit and perhaps a tour when the thermometer is under 30.

A great restaurant experience in a rural setting on Marsh Road just off Nelson Bay Road in Bob's Farm, with an array of menu choices featuring Barramundi at competitive prices, as well as other menu items, plenty of onsite parking, helpful and friendly staff members who are well-informed and ready to make your visit a success, in our case a family birthday celebration, indoor and outdoor seating, clean and well-maintained toilets, reservations recommended in holiday season. Highly recommended. Barramundi farm tours also available, as well as onsite Barramundi ponds surrounding the restaurant.

Amazing restaurant!
We ordered several types of barramundi dishes and everything was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious.
Service was pretty quick even though we came during busy Easter weekend.
Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Dishes I love: barramundi cooked in yellow curry, barramundi fish and chips and Thai style deep fried whole barramundi (my favourite!)

The location is a bit out of the centre. The food is very very nice. We had baked barramundi and spaghetti marinara. The foods are very fresh. We had a good time, good food and nice experience. The place also offer farm tour at 11 and 2 pm. Aud 10 for adults and aud 5 for children.

The fish tasted really fresh and was very tender, the servers were very helpful and friendly. Tour guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

I loved this place, i am a Muslim person and when i asked them to use clean oil and pans to cook our fish worrying from any contamination with Pork or any other meat, they were very respectful and lovely in their service. We as a family enjoyed the location, the food, the service and mainly the quite beautiful location. Suitable for all age including kids who enjoyed feeding the fish experience.... so thank you guys for this great experience.

Had lunch here on the way to Nelson Bay. Nice, clean premises. Seated outside near the Koi pond. We chose the Thai style Barramundi and Barra fish & chips and some calamari. The thai style was great but the simplicity of the lightly battered fish n chips was the highlight for me. Without a doubt, the best fish n chips I've ever had, even better than the chippies I tried in London and certainly much better than anything you'll find in Nelson Bay. Fantastic friendly service as well. A must-try if you are visiting the area.

This is a nice little restaurant, great service , friendly staff and kids friendly. My kids enjoyed feeding the fish. The food is good and the venue is really clean. There is also a fish farm tour, we didn’t get time to do this but I am sure this will be a great experience for families with kids

Pretty interesting place! We went to the 11am tour, and and tour guide was very informative and charismatic. The farming equipment was also pretty cool to see, as well as the thousands of barramundi they keep in all the tanks. We had lunch at the restuarant here and ordered the Thai and Aussie-style whole barramundi, both which tasted great and was enough for our family of four. The chips were also fantastic - very light and crisp, but fluffy on the inside.
