Koko black is my go to for when I want to indulge my sweet tooth if walking by to gifts for loved ones. Good quality chocolate sometimes there are tastings, I’ve bought and tried individual ones to work out which ones I would put together in a box.

I have bought the 25 piece make your own gift box as a Christmas present, individual bars to put into gift boxes I send overseas.

Good quality chocolates great customer service. 10/10 will drop by to scoff chocolate from here again

🍫🤎 Chocolate Heaven 🤎🍫

I first tasted this chocolate in an event I attended. They were giving away nougat starry night. And I loved it the moment I tasted it. It was deliciously sweet.

So when I saw this store, I really stopped by and went inside to find out more. It really felt like chocolate heaven. I bet I could find any kind of chocolate from this lovely place.

But I was here because of the nougat starry night, so I asked again for the same flavor and their best seller. The staff recommended hazelnut and cocoa bits. And she was right. I also liked it aside from I am already a "hazelnut bias".

Oh, I would love to go back here and try those chocolates again, their other flavors and their hot chocolate drink ☕. This could be one of my happy place to go to whenever I am in a good or in a gloomy mood. ❤

The chilli hot chocolate is the main reason I go here. The chocolate items and mousse are tasty and have a wide range of flavours. But the Chilli hot chocolate is the star! It coats the back of your mouth with warmth, it's hard to describe. It is not spicy hot but more of a pleasant experience.

Best hot chocolate I’ve had in town so far. I had the chilli chocolate and it was a great consistency and very creamy. Standard price was $8 for all hot chocolates. The drinks are made for takeaway outside the retail store which has plenty of delicious chocolates inside. Great for gifts or a treat.

With an unassuming set up of this cafe store in the mid of busy street of Melbourne this place can be easily missed. But once you see it you can’t unsee it. Try their coffee and hot chocolate and you will be treated to some of the best coffee this city has to offer.

We had mocha latte and hot chocolate and the chocolate was so rich and just mind blowing. Amazing coffee, excellent service, great chocolate option’s across the coffee station, fun ambiance, professional staff! One of the best cafes in Melbourne for sure.

Definitely recommend!

Try hot chocolate here and love it 😩😩 cannot drink hot chocolate somewhere else anymore 🥹 but really 5 🌟 I always drink the first hot chocolate in their menu list 😩 7.5 for small? Kinda medium size cup. And 9 for large. Overall, I love it 🫢😳🤗😍

Koko Black does the best Hot Chocolate in Melbourne - and you can’t change my mind.
Since opening their flagship store at the iconic Royal Arcade in 2003, you can find them popping up all over Australia. Plenty of indulgent, artisan chocolate varieties on offer in store, over 100 to be precise, with all of them naturally handcrafted right here in Melbourne. They make for perfect gift ideas too.
Staff are very friendly and professional. Prices are pretty up there at $7-8.50 dependant on size but this is not unusual for places that use real Belgium chocolate. Definitely worth the money and for the sweet tooth’s.

I visited the Town Hall store on 10th Nov around 11.30, not sure of the lovely assistant's name but she was so nice and helpful. I was looking for chocolates to buy for my kids and she suggested the kids advent calendar, which I ended up getting along with the small jar of chocolate stars and also a hot chocolate. Both staff working were friendly and helpful and I love the outdoor van for the hot choc. Will go back next time I'm in the city!

Got iced chcolate from a pop up stand(?).(Been there for few years at least before pandemic)

Not busy, very conveient, super quick service, young barista lady was friendly and professional. No ice in iced chocolate which was good because one of other shops added ice which I didn't like at all. They grabbed a cup which already had ice cream from fridge.

They accepted amex without minimum charge and fee which was great.

I will be back again.

I bought just two pralines. My impression was that both staff members there were very friendly and professional. I liked the interior of the shop and I think the selection is pretty good. It's a bit pricey but very much comparable to other places. Out of the two pralines I bought, I found the dark chocolate chili one especially good.

Pricey, but it seems worth checking it out based on the interesting flavours available. The guy with the long hair and piercings was very nice and helpful as well.

I recently visited this place. Highly recommended to taste their hot chocolate. Hazelnut flavored hot chocolate was really good. That was the best hot chocolate I ever had in Australia. You will regret if you miss this place. A must visit place when you are in Melbourne CBD.

One of the best places for an indulgent treat. The staff have always been extremely warm and friendly. I love their products. I only wish they were not so expensive, but it is what it is for premium chocolate. Thier Easter and Christmas ranges are increasingly impressive each year - they release a lot of interesting new items and the pricing is not unreasonable (unlike a certain other competitor). Their salted caramel is next level and highly recommended for any caramel fan, you can find it as a truffle or easter egg filling.

Highly recommend! The quality is worth the price that is quite reasonable for chocolate bouchées that are both so good and so pretty. I didn't find yet a chocolate I didn't like, they are all delicious but some of them are downright divine! The "pure raspberry" and the "caramel mousse" are my current favourites. They have a great variety too, from the classic variations on caramel and gianduja to hazelnut but they also have an absolutely delicious Australian native range.
The people there are absolutely lovely and will take the time to give you advice if you need some.

Oh Rachel
You did well Honney.
I do love chocolate but was hoping to walk out without any, but you were friendly and did your best to give a unique experience.
You did very well and that’s how great of service should be.
Thank you.

Coffee at Koko Black, Melbourne Town Hall.
A very nice cup at the right temperature and served with a smile.
I needed a coffee and didn't realise that they are about chocolate so next time I’ll try a hot chocolate. And I'll have to check out the store.
