I was referred to Dr Shemer after having a traumatic premature loss several years earlier. I was worried about it happening again and had suffered a loss 20 days after our son was born prematurely. Dr Shemer was beyond compassionate and was dedicated to help us get pregnant and deliver safely. He was patient, extra cautious due to high risk pregnancy and very caring. His proactive approach helped mitigate many risks we faced during the pregnancy and he was so accomodating to my needs especially as someone who suffers from health anxiety. I am so eternally greatful for him helping us to bring our little girl into the world and cannot recommend him enough. In fact, I will tell anyone who listens! Dr Scott and his team are phenomenal. Thank you!

Dr Shemer was wonderful throughout our two pregnancies, and our earlier miscarriage. Professional, intelligent and kind- always felt we were in great hands. Highly recommend!

My Husband and I have had the most incredible experience through pregnancy with our first baby, due to the care received from Scott and his incredible team. From the minute we called up to our first appointment, to the birth of our baby girl, the care, support, kindness and empathy has been incredible. We fully trusted all advice and felt so guided throughout the process. My birth ended up being different to what I expected due to some last minute complications but was still so empowering and special. I felt completely in the drivers seat, educated and confident with all decisions. A few friends of mine recommended me to him and I’m so very grateful and thankful, he has been nothing but phenomenal - very supportive, caring and has offered me the best assistance for me. Thank you also to the lovely reception staff there who are so lovely.

Dr Scott cared for us during our first pregnancy, he was very thorough and has such a lovely, calm professional manner. My main worry at the start of my pregnancy was having a positive birth experience, and when my pregnancy and labour deviated from the plan, Dr Scott skilfully guided us through. He explained in the detail that I needed, and was reassuring and caring, I felt at every stage that I was in the safest of hands. After we had the baby, Dr Scott came to see us and gave us the time and opportunity to talk about our labour and birth. He was genuinely happy and thrilled to see us with our little one. I feel so happy about my labour and birth and
and we both feel so blessed to have had him on the journey. It was the best day and we had the most amazing experience, I couldn't be happier.
I recommend Dr Scott to everyone. He gives such a high standard of care, he is clearly passionate about his work and cares about his patients and outcomes.
We'll definitely be going back to him again when we choose to expand our family in the future.

I would recommend Dr. Scott Shemar to any pregnant women. We were so lucky to have Dr. Scott's strong knowledge and support during pregnancy and birth. He was professional, caring, very kind and passionate about his job as a obstetrician. Also his team, midwives and receptionists were amazing too. We've been enjoying our parenting very much after long waiting period for our first baby. We can't thank Dr. Scott enough.

Dr Scott Shemer is an amazing obstetrician with an awesome team of midwives and practice staff.
I had him for my first pregnancy which had ended in an emergency caesarean for fetal distress late in the labour. This was now my second pregnancy and I wanted to try for a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean). Dr Scott discussed the risks and benefits for a TOLAC (trial of labour after caesarean). He supported me through the pregnancy and gave me opportunity to have my questions answered at every appointment. He checked my baby regularly and I felt reassured, informed and safe. I saw his midwives at 34 and 37 weeks which made the whole experience so well rounded and really helped me to get into the right head space for birth. I felt very looked after by Dr Scott and his team especially during covid restrictions, when appointments had to be attended alone. His practice staff were so friendly and accommodating, they made everything smooth and seamless.
The day I went into labour Dr Scott was there encouraging me on and the midwives at Frances Perry House were so skilled and caring. I ended up having a successful and uncomplicated VBAC!!
A midwife from Dr Scott's rooms called me a couple of weeks later, to follow up on the feeding, to ask about my birth experience and to see how I was going. I also had a 6 week postnatal follow up by Dr Scott. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Scott and his team and I recommend his care to any one looking for a highly skilled practitioner with an excellent bedside manner.

Thank you to Scott for being such a wonderful obstetrician for us. He was extremely professional and we appreciated his thoughtfulness and evidence-based approach to all of our questions. Scott is extremely warm, kind and has a very charismatic happy energy. He always had time for us and really helped us through the pregnancy journey. We were very impressed by his level of care and excellent skill. We also really loved seeing our bub via ultrasound at every appointment (which was something very important for me in my pregnancy when choosing an obstetrician). In my pregnancy, we could not follow our ideal plan (i.e. we initially hoped for a second VBAC), as I was carrying a very large baby after a previous c-section (already measuring over 4kilos at 37 weeks). Scott helped us through the process of the C-section and it ended up being the very wise and safe choice for both me and my baby. The surgery and recovery were both much better than my previous C-section (performed by a different doctor at a different hospital). We would highly recommend Scott for personalised care through the pregnancy and the birthing process. It was such a wonderful and positive experience. Thank you!

This was our third baby and we were nervous from our last birth experience. Dr Shemer eased all our worries and made the whole experience wonderful, even the birth was amazing. He demonstrates genuine care and support for his clients easily the best obstetrician I’ve ever had!!

My only regret is that I didnt find Dr Scott sooner! I feel so lucky to have had his knowlegde and support during my second pregnancy. His attention to detail and thorough approach really put me at ease and gave me the confidence that I was in excellent hands. I can't thank him and his team enough for the exceptional standard of care they showed me and my family. Thank you.

I don’t even remember why we chose Scott, however it was the best decision we have made. Scott and his entire team are the most genuine and caring medical professionals that we have come across. If you are deciding on who to go with, make sure it’s them!!

Dr Scott Shemer is an amazing obstetrician that I couldn't recommend highly enough, he helped to deliver my identical twin baby boys in February 2021. My pregnancy had considerable complications - selective growth syndrome and a short cervix. It resulted in me spending an incredibly difficult almost 7 weeks in hospital and eventually giving birth at 30 weeks gestation. Scott went above and beyond throughout my entire pregnancy, to provide my husband and I support - through Scott's incredible knowledge and also emotional support during what was a very hard time. On top of his extensive knowledge he is incredibly kind and empathetic. He safely delivered our baby boys and they are now home and thriving. Thank you Scott for all you have done for me and my family!
