Just do it! If you are thinking about doing a short course at Yarraville Community Centre you should. Over the years I have done a few and have recently completed some fantastic art ones. So much fun, great teachers and lovely locals to learn with

I have had such a wonderful experience in having all 3 of my children cared for at the Yarraville Community Centre. There has been no staff turnover in the last couple of years, all staff are so lovely and my children feel as if they are at home when they come here. It is just like taking my kids to there grandparents house. I cannot recommend this centre enough and is great value.

I did the Watercolour workshop with Linda. It was a great course with an inspiring teacher who showed us how to work with watercolour in a creative way. Everyone in the class was very supportive and some hidden talents were uncovered.

Great place offering so many interesting and quality courses! I have attended the Chair Upholstery course twice, and have now got 2 beautifully reupholstered chairs in my home ... made by my own hand. Very rewarding and fun!

Loved the class. Yianni was knowlegable and a lot of fun. I particularly liked his relaxed attitude to cooking, a handful of this, a pinch of that... The yemista were delicious! I'm making them again the weekend. Many thanks for a very enjoyable class.

Undertook the Mexican metal craft workshop that was excellent: location; experienced, knowledgeable and creative facilitator; all materials provided. Waiting to enrol in the next one!

My child attends the childcare centre at Francis Street. She absolutely loves it and looks forward to going each week. The carers are so freindly and caring and come with years of expereince. The centre has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, very home like, and welcoming! Although it is called occassional care, almost all children have permanent spots so there is continuity. I highly recommend it.

Linda’s art class was so much fun . Relaxed and very informative !

Wonderful course, excellent instructors. Covered the basics of sourdough bread-making in a clear and hands-on fashion, with great tips and helpful observations and insights along the way. Really good supporting material to take home and my first try at baking a loaf at home made with dough prepared in class came up trumps! Recommended for anyone scared of bread-making (as I was) for a lovely demystifying experience.

Adult Ballet Classes: The instructor was very attentive and flexible in her teaching, enabling all of us to participate at the levels we were at. Great class for retraining your balance, flexibilty and to have fun. Highly recommend this to all ages and abilities. Andreas aged 23 and a bit

Excellent occasional childcare service. The ladies are professional, caring & just lovely. Our 1 year old very much enjoys her time at YCC.

I really enjoyed the candle making class with Ruth and it was really fun! Really recommend it :)

Our children have gone to the YCC Occasional Care on Francis St for two years now. It is a fantastic, caring centre. There has been little to no turnover of staff in that time and both boys have developed strong relationships with the carers there. They always have interesting craft and other things for them to do. Lots of themed play and role play. A wonderful, safe, place that we see as an integral part of their sense of belonging within our community.

Highly recommend the YCC Occasional child care!! Their wealth of experience and caring nature made my son’s transition into childcare a positive experience (and gave this first time mum a few tips along the way too) Also big props to them surviving and thriving through endless lockdowns and restrictions
