Staff there were super friendly! Atmosphere was really nice. Interiors as well as the furniture and cutleries were very clean and cosy. A little bit pricey than other Thai restaurants and portion sizes were on the smaller side for some of the dishes. However, the food made up for it. Highly recommend their green curry with chicken as well as their pad thai with chicken. Would definitely come again.

One of the best Thai restaurants in town. Great authentic Thai food and friendly service. Will definitely be back for the crab omelette and chicken skewer. What a delight.

Wonderful Thai restaurant! It ticks all the boxes for me. Good sized premises, immaculately clean and tidy, friendly staff, and delicious food. I’ve been twice so far and it has hit all the marks consistently each time. The only suggestion to the kitchen would be to please add Mango Sticky Rice to the dessert menu when in season. It has become our latest favourite restaurant, we only wish it was closer to our house 😅. Please don’t go so we can keep this gem to ourselves 😋😁

In-Depth Review:

Start of Service 5/5
*Politrly greeted by authentic Thai people. No issues here

Food 5/5
*The food here is amazing, each and every dish is made with Thai love. Every bite is delicious. I was shut up by the taste it brings to the table, I enjoyed them so much, I forgot to take all the photos. That indicates how great it was!

Value 5/5
*Foe the service, beyond amazing food you get, and the price and modern atmosphere, it's 5/5. Perfect for a date, family or social occasion!

Atmosphere 5/5
*Very modern fit out compared to their other store in Richmond. More on the upmarket classier side, again, can bring dates, family friends or events!

End of Service 5/5
*Despite finishing our meals and overstaying our time, we were still treated with respect and asked politely to leave. Excellent service. Definitely book in advance people!

Overall 5/5
*Would definitely come back with any kind of occasion to impress anyone. Well done!

I’ve been wanting to visit Ya Jinda for ages and finally managed to do so this week.

☀The sunny bits:
The interior was amazing. It was bright, clean and decorated with various items from yesteryear. Staff were warm and welcoming. We had their lunch specials. The Boat noodles came with a generous amount of beef in a complex hearty broth. The garlic rice with grilled chicken was very tasty. The highlight of the meal was the papaya salad. It was fresh, crunchy and bursting with flavour.

☁The cloudy bits:
This was an almost perfect experience. My one tiny gripe was that the papaya salad arrived after we had finished our meals.

⭐The forecast:
With travelling still a bit of a risky affair, Ya Jinda with its authentic Thai food is a great place to pretend that you are in Bangkok!

Sister restaurant from the original Jinda Thai restaurant, Ya Jinda Thai in Doncaster East does not diappoint and has a beautiful and modern interior. It also has delightful dishes. We loved the TomYum King Prawns which has rich delicious and sauce with lovely aroma and is our favourite dish. The Crab Omellete, Green Chicken Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice and Crispy Pork Vegetables and the dessert cakes were all good too. Will need to come back and try the other dishes like Crab and Duck Curry.

This is our second time visiting Ya Jinda Thai Restaurant after dining at the main Jinda in Abbotsford for many years.

We haven't had any issues getting a table here, it's not too busy which is a nice contrast to the city store. There was plenty of room between tables and space to sit our pram.

We ordered Boat Noodles and Crispy Pork Chili Basil along with some Thai drinks. The food came out at a reasonable pace, flavourful with good portion sizes. They also offer accoutrements with the noodles to modify to your taste profile. Our food was delicious.

The staff are pleasant and are attentive picking up finished dishes and replenishing water.

A lovely place for Thai food, strongly recommend a visit for great Thai food that hasn't been overly westernised.

Authentic Thai flavours and spice levels. We went here for Mother's day dinner. We were a big group of 13 people and they accommodated us well. Food was delicious, service was spot on and the venue was large enough that it did not feel cramped like a lot of Asian restaurants. Highly recommend their entre of spring rolls, son in law eggs, seared salmon and oysters. We will definitely be going back.
Room for improvement...kids really wanted to try their crepe cake but they only had one piece of the pandan flavour. We notice them serving another pandan crepe cake to a table that came after us so was a little disappointed we only got one and they didn'thave enough on Mother's day. Also where we were seated, there was a cold draft and they didn't know why. They said they had the heater on but it was really cold where we were seated. Hope they can improve that.

If you are looking for decent Thai food Ya Jinda is one of the best choices our family would go. Curry and Papaya salad are the best we ever tried and their prices are reasonable for family occasions.

Incredibly tasty food, the best curry I’ve ever had. It was my first time tonight and I’ll definitely be back. They were very busy so it was a little slow to come out but definitely worth the wait.

Tremendous Thai restaurant. Absolutely outstanding. Stunning dining room. Great menu, excellent food ( stunning soup!) Lovely, warm service. This may be Melbournes best Thai restaurant but it’s definitely on the podium.

The sister shop to the popular Jinda Thai in Abbotsford, Ya Jinda delivers on many of the usual favourites right on Doncaster Road.

Love their Tom Yum soup, the softshell crab 🦀 with curry sauce and the salted egg squid were all great dishes too easy alongside some coconut rice.

The fried fish & tamarind sauce also another amazing dish to order that does not disappoint either.

The venue is spacious and has a great vibe for a casual lunch, catch up dinner or date night. Parking infront can be difficult at times as there are other restaurant's nearby. There is the option to park behind but there is no rear access to the restaurant unfortunately.
You can park at the McDonald's and take a short stroll but there are parking limits so be prepared to move the car from time to time.
Bookings after 6pm are fine parking streetside for as long as you like.

Had a family lunch around 1:30pm on Saturday. Many seats available.

The quality of food and drinks were good. We ordered curry, grilled beef, pad Thai and fried rice, etc.

Love this dish!! but don't know what's the name. It contains prawns and eggplants. A little bit spicy but it's okay.

This is a classy restaurant finished with marble and patterned tile surfaces. For dinner, we had the Som Tum Thai for salad. Gai Yang (grilled chicken) for entee. Green curry chicken, red duck curry, Kana Crispy Pork and Pad Gra Pow Beef for main courses. Everything tasted fantastic. The duck was really tender for the red curry. If you are not into hot spicy food, ask for a mild form of the Pad Gra Pow dish. Otherwise it will leave you with a slightly burnt sensation in the throat until next day.
