One of Melbourne's main hospitals. Always improving and getting better and better. The hospital felt very clean. Generally have only had positive experiences with the polite and professional staff.

I went into Monash two weeks ago tomorrow (Thursday) for a live kidney transplant in Ward 34 I honestly can’t tell you how wonderful the staff nurses & Doctors were during my time in there, I always felt comfortable with attentive care that I received. There were three stand out Nurses on my ward Tim Caitlyn & another nurse which by I didn’t get her name.
They were wonderful & was always professional & caring to my needs, this made my time in hospital so much more pleasant while feeling unwell & during recovery. All staff were fantastic but honestly couldn’t fault the care that all the staff have given me I am truly grateful, these ppl are true hero’s & we are so blessed to have them. 🥰🥰
Thank you

Have spent 8 weeks in Ward 44 so can only comment on my experience in that ward. Found all the staff to be absolutely fantastic, can only hope that when I go to the Alfred that their staff are as nice as the ones here.

Worst motel ever. The whole experience was terrible from the beginning. Receptionist kept asking what was wrong with me (so rude) and insisted I wear their stupid bath robes like I was at a Japanese onsen except my butt was showing out the back- they don’t even have a spa or a sauna so I actually think that was super weird.

Once I finally got to my room it was like that time I was abducted by aliens (but without the probing thank goodness)- constantly poking and prodding and asking “does it hurt when I do this”? Oh of course it does, I have a raging temperature and my guts feels like they are going to burst! So rude!

So after the poking and prodding I think they drugged me. I got really groggy and I remember being wheeled around with these bright lights and people asking me to count down from 10. The really weird thing is when I woke up I have these tiny incisions now on my tummy but my guts don’t hurt any more. That’s really weird for sure, but not the weirdest….

They said it’s time to go home now (like it was some weird near death experience or something), they put some of my things in a plastic bag and drugged me up so I don’t feel anything or maybe make me forget the whole experience (I can’t say I really mind that and Ibis Hotels could really learn a thing or two here!)

To be fair though I am still trying to figure out if it was a motel or a cult because despite all the poking, prodding and weird reception (can you believe there’s an actual queue of people wanting to stay here!!!) the hosts were actually really lovely. Even house keeping and room service were really friendly and kind (although I don’t think they will be getting a Michelin Star any time soon).

So mixed emotions. As a cult or alien encounter definitely rate this as the best experience I’ve ever had so far (and I’ve had quite a few) so I’m giving five stars but I definitely rate 0 out of 10 as a motel. Don’t stay here unless you’re desperate.

I had a Mini Stroke last week/weekend (TSI), went to Emergency & was treated professionally, with empathy & patience from the nurses, doctors, kind bed pushing nurse! And the great kind radiographer. I hate hospitals but they made my urgent visit a very calm & comfortable one. Maybe I was lucky to have a good experience, but I give credit where credit is due. Thank you to all the staff for helping me through a very stressful time.

The staff at monash work extras to help the public and they should all be given double their pay. Without them we the public would be in a mess. I support all our health workers 100%

A huge thank you to Monash Medical Centre for Thursday 27th April 2023. Administration, Doctors, Nurses, Food Catering Staff.

Shout out to:

My Neurologist - Doctor Nevin John,
Administration - Adee and Laura
Patient catering staff - Lisa
Training and registered Nurses - Harpreet, Jenny, Shreejana , Sophia, Janet, Jezil, Poppy, Molly, Barnaby and Dirk.

Thank you for giving me the best Ocrevus treatment for my relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. You provide the best love and care. You are amazing and unforgettable. I’m so proud of you all. Keep up the good work. See you in 6 months - October 2023.

Today on Thursday 26th October 2023. I went into the Medical Infusion Centre for Multiple Sclerosis Treatment. I met Carly and she was friendly and polite.

I met Dirk and he weighed me, then took me to where I’d be sitting on the recliner chair. Poppy put my cannula into my my vein into the left arm and she got it perfectly in one shot when I said left side is most suitable for me. She gave me the Methylprednisolone and Ocrevus. Danielle learning how to do the job on placement. She was checking my blood pressure along with Ru, Rosalie, Sophia, Tilly, Michelle, Rosie, Shreejana and Derpika.

I met Meenakshi and she asked me what I would like for lunch. I chose cheese, crackers, jelly, ice cream, apple juice, banana and sandwiches with ham, cheese and tomato.

Towards the end Poppy was telling me it was okay for me to head off. So I packed up and left and met Laura the receptionist and told her that I was going to leave now as my treatment was complete.

I was quite happy with all the Receptionists, Placement Students, Registered Nurses and Patient Catering Staff. They are all professional, positive and helpful in terms of ensuring their workmates listen, understand what needs to be done with each patient’s treatment for their individual case.

They are compassionate, empathetic and cooperative to one another, but this shows with the way they operate as a whole team and others that they come across in their daily lives. Thank you for all your time, patience and effort to take care of me. I am forever grateful. This is me showing my gratitude and sticking to my word of writing down my thoughts on how my day went in this review.
See you in 6 months - April 2024.

My 94-year old father-in-law was admitted for abdominal pain.
We cautiously entered the Emergency Room as we thought that we would be waiting for hours and hours.
But no, the nurses promptly attended to my father-in-law and he was quickly moved into the Short Stay Unit as beds were unavailable in the General Medical Wards.
We have been amazed at the level of professional treatment and support for this very old man. Nothing is too much of a trouble and he has been very well looked after during his stay.

We would recommend Monash Medical Centre for treatment of family members.

Excellent sense of humour, hubby had chicken stuck in his throat. They cleared it and then gave him roast chicken for lunch. Comedy gold ✨

I would just like to say thanks to all the doctors and nurses that have made this journey of healing from a abscess on my back a very pleasant one. I'm still with hospital in the home but the experience has been very well managed and they have made me feel better over the last 2 weeks.

P.S if they're any doctors/nurses that are single and wanting to date hope you'd be interested in me and if you are please respond asap.

All the staff involved in my sister in law's care were amazing. Compassionate, thorough, thoughtful and couldn't do enough to make sure we were cared for and advised. Thank you to all the staff in ICU and even the birth suite next door. Thankyou

I’ve been involved with emergency, endocrinology, obstetrics, Children’s, special care nursery, maternity, cardiology, ultrasound, genetics, the diabetes clinic and everything has been exceptional. For a public hospital it is amazing the level of care and professionalism they can provide. Thank you for saving me and continuing to care when you could have let me go long ago to my local system. My local system initially let me down, so thank you for restoring my faith in the medical community.

I was transfered to Monash Medical Centre from a private hospital who could not treat me. I spent 9 days in hospital pre and post birth and can not thank the nurses in the maternity ward and the NICU enough. They went above any beyond to make me feel comfortable. Their care and compassion made a very difficult time much easier to deal with. Whenever I wanted to go see my son in the NICU they wouldn't hesitate to wheel me down in a wheelchair as I couldn't walk due to c section recovery.
