Tried the Malatang and the vegan one, The vegan one not really have a strong flavour but still good. If u really love spicy then u better order the dragon spicy level. The price not that expensive. Paid $43 and more than enough to share for 2 people. There are variety of meats and veggies to choose. The space a bit small therefore always need to wait to be seated.
Can improve on customer service , as a waitress they suppose to smile and talk nicely to customers not just like whatever as long as the job done.

Beautiful signature malatang soup! They had more options for hotpot section than any other places. Quality of food is really good! Service was good and friendly and also helpful with any questions. They also did ask if you have any allergies at the start which is really good 👍🏾 keep up the good work!! Will come back 😊😊

This food is so yummy and it looks good but it feels a bit cramped in here, I mean that it is a small room. Anyway the food is good and you should try the noodles.

If you're looking for something to warm you up or something to eat late at night then this is the place. I've been here a couple of times and the food is so good. The staff were so friendly, they would always ask you dietary questions. The line could get long, but it's worth the wait for such good food. A lot of options to put in your hotpot.

Packed when we arrived 130pm and got a seat by 2pm and then the peak hour went down

Yummy broth and wide selection of meat and non meat

The dry noodles were very flavoursome

Me and my partner enjoyed a lot withthe fire hot Signature Ma La Tang , we always go to this branch , nice and quick also not too much customers when we went there

The broth is so so good! 😋This place is quite small therefore there’s always a queue outside the shop. You can sit outside the shop but it’s quite cold during winter as there’s no heater stand outside there .
Lots of varieties to choose for your own hotpot! They charged according to weight.
I spent $36 for an entire big signature bowl which is more than enough for 2 persons.
Value for money! Staff are efficient and dining area are clean and well maintained. 👍🏻

This Malatang restaurant serves incredibly delicious food, and the female staffs are exceptionally friendly with a warm and professional attitude. No matter how busy they are, whenever you ask for anything, they promptly provide it with a sweet smile on their faces.

Super hot = really hot. If you are a spicy lover you really need to try this.

I always go to this little dragon hP I don’t know why probably my big boss she brought me there the 1st time and I love the soup and fresh prawn and the real scallop with the shell I love it also the Marinated spicy slide beefs. But the waiter or waitress must get annoyed by me always missing the takeaway number plates or I walked to Mc to get a froze drink that’s why they always forget to give me some fresh chili’s but I said I will pay for the chili’s but they still forgot about it but well I know it is late at night and everyone want to go home and sleep right okay la good night but some staffs need to slow down when they pick their Uber order as they scared me as they are so fast omg like a lions when they see meat or little prawn so just relax girls and boy love your services or put up with me.

One of the top notch places to get a taste of authentic chinese hotpot. The waiting time is kinda annoying if you go during the busy hours but its all worth it. Choose your broth well as they serve mild, hot, extremely hot and dragon hot. My advice would be to gradually climb up the ladder to make your experience even more wonderful.

Be careful on your spice order as it can get hot real quick. Delicious broth though and ingredients are decent quality.

Really good variety and great hot pot. We come here every month. Only downside is, it’s tight with little space, and waits can be long. Other than that totally worth it.

Having eaten hot pot in China I am very impressed with this restaurant. Plenty of options and a great broth. Would recommend even if you are not Chinese. We had the ma la tan mild which was quite spicy. Would recommend this. Cheap meal - $4 per 100g. Overall a quality restaurant that can match those in China. Go check it out.

Always liked dragon hot pot, it’s never disappointing. Had the mala stir fry with fire hot level and it was absolutely amazing. It also came our with complementary hot soup, was so tasty too. Cold days soup is the best and hot days stir fry is perfect. Would definitely recommend. The best thing about this hot pot is that you can add what you want and how much you want.

The broth has amazing taste. The place is quite small and you have to line up outside but no worries it all cost with this amazing piece of heaven.

1st hot pot for us and it was really good. Would rate it, the staff were very helpful for us, as we had no clue how it worked.

Finally got around to eating here after seeing a constant line out the front no matter what time of the evening. Was very impressed by the food! Great concept of picking your own ingredients then it being professionally prepared in their amazing broth, with great quality ingredients and large servings. The service is also excellent and the staff are very attentive. Best hot pot in Melbourne - if you can bare the wait.
