Fatto Bar & Cantina

I've visited Fatto a few times and it always satisfies. The space is bright and contemporary with traditional Italian touches, and the food and drinks follow along the same lines. I love the little cocktail window, which is currently taken over by Tanqueray gin for the summer. The drinks are strong and refreshing, but the vegetarian dishes are also a reason to visit.

Great food, beautifully cooked and presented. Pre- show two course menu excellent value. Always have us out on time for the show. Staff are very professional.

We had a wonderful lunch - attended to by sensible sensitive and attentive staff. We ate the “Rosé” three course. And of course the free pour of wine was totally complentary to the impeccable food. The music was right: the soft easy non-stress staff......a fine space. With gratitude to the serving staff and the beautiful crafted meal. The food warrants awards!!!!

I took a group of 19 people for lunch today after a concert at Hamer Hall. The staff were so obliging, arranging seating for the group and checking to see we had everything we needed. Friendly staff lived up to the expectations we have developed after regular pre-theatre meals there. Well done and good value.

Great venue for a catch up with family or friends. Outdoor seating with lovely views of the Yarra, Flinders street station and the city skyline. Food and drink delicious and not pricey at all. You may need to wait for a table on a busy day but well worth the wait.

Very reasonably priced apertivo hour! Friendly staff and very decent, genuine Italiano pizza. For those complaining about the portion sizes, the menu states “snacks”, not meals! If you want a big filling meal this ain’t the place for you (but you can fill up on all their snack options for sure!)

I love Fatto's atmosphere and decor, especially the bathroom which is stylish and grungy. The food is great and the pre-theatre menu is terrific except if you are vegetarian, as I am. Unfortunately, other people get a choice of two dishes for entrees and mains, but I don't. I put up or I shut up. So, for the last few months I haven't gone to Fatto's. That doesn't mean you shouldn't, but if you're vegetarian you might decide the Barre at the State Theatre is a better choice.

Great food but good to make a booking as often busy! Bar menu out front also fantastic, great drinks and wine selection too. Arrive early in the afternoon to catch the setting sun over the Yarra on the outside tables!

The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The mushroom arancini is a must try. Staff were friendly and service was very quick, but it's likely because it's a quiet Sunday evening (I know how busy this place can be on Friday and Saturday evening).

Have eaten here on several occasions and never disappointed. The maitre d last night was brilliant seeing us fit in a full 3 course dinner comfortably when we arrived late due to traffic and had an early show to attend. Looking forward to my next experience at Fatto

We decided to give the 'Bottomless Pasta' night a go and it was perfect ! Excellent choice of four different pasta types, quick, easy and all really well made, great wine to go with and desert to finish off.
Highly recommend to give it a go.

Great music, food and friendly staff. Lots of food choices and sizes to suit everybody's appetite. Friendly atmosphere. Reasonable priced. Definitely would make a return visit.

Best bar and cafe in Melbourne. Right in the heart of the arts and entertainment precinct. Great food and excellent service.
