Small beach suitable only for voice controlled dogs. Lots of pedestrian and bicycle traffic on adjacent paths.
Sheltered. Apparently good water quality. Toilets nearby.
Best at low tide.
The coffee shop in the big Life Saving building, a short on-lead walk west, sells doggie icecream in dixie cups. A treat not to be missed.

Excellent place to take the pooch, go when the tide is low and the beach is huge and there is so much room for them to play and have a blast !! Don’t forgot the ball !

Beach is so spacious and clean. A great sandy beach for letting your dog off leash plenty of bins for disposing dogs business. Community is very open and friendly.

Dogs are allowed off-leash on the beach between the rock groyne opposite Cumberland Road (2nd groyne from Sandridge Beach) and the rock groyne opposite Barak Road (3rd groyne from Sandridge Beach) at all times of the year. This is a distance of about 220m.

For the remainder of the beach the regulations are:
1 April - 31 October: Dogs permitted at all times on the beach
1 November - 31 March: Dogs prohibited at all times on the beach

Very good for dog.
Occasionally a lot of rubbish and detritus washes up here, generally it is cleaned quickly by the council.
