Port Albert Jetty

Beautiful historic Port with surrounding cafes and accommodation.

Just a great place for an outdoors holiday.

Port Albert jetty is a good place to fish but on days when the fishing is very good there will often be a lot of boat activity close to the jetty and some of these boaters seem to think that they have to come as close as possible to the jetty which can sometimes cause friction between the fishermen on the jetty and themselves as once I saw a boater get very angry that the people fishing on the jetty didn't pull their lines in fast enough consequently he got some fishing line stuck around the propeller on his boat only because he came in very close to the jetty (7-10 metres) I believe the minimum standoff distance is 40metres

Great spot for a fish or to just sit and enjoy the scenery and some fish and chips from the shop right on the jetty if you visit during business hours.

Had a gummy burger and chips from the boat hire place, it was delicious
