Port Albert Motel

Port Albert in April is very quiet and exceptionally beautiful without the summer tourists, and the Port Albert Motel is on the site of the historic hotel, opposite the jetty. I can recommend a detour to this charming historic port, for the beauty of the lake and the wildlife. The motel rooms are simple, but perfectly good for a stay of a day or two. There are no staff at the motel, but you can reach Denise by phone, and she will open the door for you. The room was spotless, with everything you might want - tea, coffee, wine and other drinks from the mini-bar. The beds were large and comfortable, designed for a family. Only the shower room was a bit old, but perfectly functional. The Fish and Chips restaurant on the jetty is not to be missed, though it is only open until ~3pm during the off-season. We would certainly stay again when we have the opportunity.

Great service. Very easy to book. On the internet it said it was fully booked but we called up and we were able to book in very easily. Right on the water and a quiet beautiful fishing town town. Had fish and chips at the “fish and chip co” at the end of the wharf. Best seafood I have had in a long time and we have been having fish and chips a lot lately on our holiday.
If you want a peaceful getaway but Is a good safe place to fish off the jetty and let the kids run this is definitely the place!

I stayed 8th & 9th June 2024 for 2 nights at this place and I'm giving 5 star for all the facilities given by them. This place is close to the jetty and comes with beautiful stunning views. Thanks and hope to stay again this place.

Lovely, small motel. Well equipped, comfortable rooms, parking right at your room door. Really friendly, helpful and courteous staff and owners. Beautiful, quiet location, right in the heart of Port Albert, across the road from the jetty with a really nice area at the back of the property with picnic benches and luscious green grass up to the seawall. Would definitely stay again!

Best location in Port Albert. Right in front of water for sunrise. Clean and comfortable room, value for money. We accidentally broke a wine glass but Denise said don't worry! Very warm and highly recommend!

Perfect location for rest and relax. Clean rooms with facilities like heating/ cooling, electric kettle, coffee maker, microwave, TV, DVD player along with collection of DVDs n books in lockers. Night sky is so clear that Milky way was clearly visible. Enjoy the Walk around and maritime museum close by.

Highly recommended, very clean and the room was very sizeable, it was spacious. Clean and great views, the service and atmosphere was all uou wanted as it was spent as a quiet weekend away, will visit again fir sure.

I booked a queen room direct on the motel website. A small quiet motel that has been tastefully refurbished & located right on the waterfront. The room was spotlessly clean,
the bed was very comfortable & there were some nice touches -like a Nespresso machine & a reasonably priced mini bar. The owners had already heated my room before I arrived (thank you). A beautiful little spot & a great place to stay.

Quaint little place. Rooms are neat and homely. Some new furniture is a nice recent addition. Have stayed here before, will stay here again. Great value for money too.

Excellent place to stay. Had everything we needed, comfy beds, coffee machine etc. Very quiet and peaceful. Denise gave us plenty of tips on where to eat. Excellent photo opportunities of sunset and sunrise. Gorgeous little town!

I did not know this Motel was transformed from what was the old Port Albert Hotel before until I read it 5 days after the visit.
We checked in at approx 6pm and checked out at 9:30 am. Stopped there as we spent a day at Wilsons Prom and were heading to Lakes Entrance the next day. The area was very quite, and the weather was also cloudy and windy. But we still enjoyed our stay given the above conditions, thanks to the amazing set up. Located right across the waters/jetty, it was a nice location. 10/10 cleanliness throughout the room and the bathroom. Manager was one call away and friendly. Free wifi. Toaster, coffee maker, kettle and microwave and a mini bar fridge. All set up very well. Great stay for a family too, with multiple beds, including a bunker bed. A small dining table with chairs. Spacious room.
My husband and myself found it worth for the price we paid. Would love to go again but only if the surroundings was not as dead which could have been due to weather or our time of arrival/departure.

This little motel was just what I needed, comfy, warm, clean, very nice, and in a beautiful place that is so tranquil. There"s no office so you just ring the number and the host sorts you out. It was so easy.

Very comfortable. Great location and really, really clean. Linen lovely and bed very comfortable. It's not a new motel but it's a great price. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place to stay. Very nice room with all you could need. Bed was comfortable and having a well stocked fridge was really nice.

As motels go, we could not have been more satisfied with this place. I was very impressed with what they provided. There was a sandwich press, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, coffee pods for machine, yes, sugar etc, tv, wifi (although intermittent), shampoo, plates, full set of cutlery for 4 people, bucket with cleaning products (earned brownie points with me for this thoughtful addition), good working air conditioner heater, clean beds, extra blankets, clean floor, clean table, clean bathroom, spacious sleeping area (bunk bed, single bed, queen bed), coat rack, reading lamp, table for 4, 5 chairs. Price was very good too. No other amenities on location but we don't use those usually as the main thing for us is the actual unit. Parking was right in front of our unit. There are only 11 units. The fish and chips, Fish Bowl restaurant and other take away are all within a few minutes walk. The beautiful jetty and water views is directly across the road where you can also find Plenty of park benches and seats. The maritime museum and art gallery are also a few minutes walk away. Friendly helpful staff just a phone call away. Prompt efficient service. Supermarket is in Yarram which is about 12 minutes by car. Yarram is the closest big town for pub meals and other cafes and restaurants. We were here for 3 nights.

For a 3 star motel this little getaway pack a big punch.
Its walking distance from everything Port Albert has to offer. Its very clean nicely presented, while Denise is polite and very helpful.
