I always check here as they usually have some of the cheapest petrol prices in Preston. They have been up to 30c per litre cheaper than the petrol stations on Bell Street (and are like 1km away up Gilbert Road). They are not currently showing on the RACV Arevo website but I always drive past first just to make sure before I fill up.

Booked my car in here for a first time service, and then it turned out that I needed a lot of other work done. At every stage I was carefully consulted and quoted very affordable prices for the parts and work. The meticulous professionalism and genuine friendliness I experienced was reassuring and heart-warming. I will be returning here for sure.

I was nervous going to a new mechanic but everyone at Gilbert Road Motors are friendly, helpful and super transparent. Honest and reliable. Lucky to live close by as I've had to go back a number of times when I needed new spark plugs. Angelo was so helpful and on one of my returns, didn't have to pay anything. I was really grateful for his time. They have now become my go to for car service. Couldn't be any happier.

Angelo is a genuinely lovely guy, the team there does really thorough services and charge low but reasonable prices. Sometimes they can be quite busy, ensure you book some time ahead.

Car service was great and the friendly service was also. Explained everything, rang when there was extra to do. No complaints. Highly recommend 😀

I used Ange for years, his prices are great and his work is solid. He's a genuine guy and Suze is always lovely to deal with.

Really happy with my experiences with Angelo, Susie and the team at Gilbert Road Motors. In my experience they’ve been very fair on price, transparent about costs and issues with the car and have a very quick turn around. Highly recommend!

Only had my head lamp/globe replaced but they were fast, efficient and really well priced ($30 for the glob to be replaced).

The staff are also friendly.

Best mechanic on the Northside...or dare I say in Melbourne? Won’t try and rort you out of $$ and so helpful, friendly and genuine. Can I just say - these are the most helpful, friendly mechanics I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. Twice now I haven't even gone into the place vecause they've given me such great information I could deal with the issue myself. Outstanding customer service.
