The ambience was like walking into an Italian home - welcoming & full of smiles. The food was rustic, wholesome & so fulfilling. We had the antipasti (a good sampling variety) & the veal (so delicious). We were made to feel special & you could sense the passion of the chef & the staff! Highly recommended & definitely going back!

Hidden gem with welcoming family atmosphere - menu is simply written on a blackboard, and every dish sounds so tempting. I had seafood agnolotti w saffron sauce and tiramisu, DELICIOUS - will come back here for many family meals :)

Lovely small Italian restaurant with warm and friendly staff. The food was delicious, the antipasti dishes were homemade and one of the best we’ve tasted. The pasta dishes were generous and tiramisu was a perfect sweet end to the dinner. Drinks list included a nice range of Italian wines.

We had dinner here last night (2 Italians and two Aussie people) and as soon as we stepped in we felt like being in one of those typical Italian trattoria we have in our hometowns. Amazing!
Food is simple but tasty, and not the typical dishes proposed in any other Italian restaurant.
The menu is not big, but the choice of dishes is interesting.
Ossobuco was so tender that melted in our mouth.
Veal scaloppina with mushroom was moist and tender.
Rigatoni with ragù made with beef pieces and not mince, as the northern Italian tradition.
Tiramisu and Nutella tart to end the meal!
Staff is very friendly and they patiently explain the whole menu to you.
Good Italian wine selection too.
Highly recommended!

Great Italian restaurant with reasonable price. The best pasta ever and great desert! We had the main, side salad, wine, desert and coffee. Only spent $70/person! The quality of food equal to the very expensive Italian restaurant in the city!

On Friday evening myself, my sister and a friend enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Cucina Di Gio - from booking the reservation to eating in this very traditional Italian restaurant, everything was perfect.
We started with sharing Mushroom Bruschetta, followed by an antipasto platter, we each chose different mains, all were delicious and importantly very traditional. Dessert was decadent... The owner Giovanni "Joe" was welcoming and very helpful even offering to decant a special wine we brought with us. I will have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. For me the experience was like entering a little piece of Italy...

Excellent authentic Italian food. We visited in February dining in and loved our experience. Such a special meal to order for our Mother’s Day dinner this time around. Thank you so much Joe for continuing to provide magnificent quality food as a takeaway option during isolation restrictions. Every dish we have eaten has been absolutely delicious.

Every time I visit my home town of Melbourne from Sydney, I always head here to catch up with school friends and family. Such amazing food, wonderful service and you can even bring your special celebratory bottle of vino as its BYO although there is a wonderful selection of wines readily available. Another memorable night last night - can’t wait to be back! Thank you!

We ordered one of everything on the specials board during lockdown. Each dish was unique and delicious in its own way. Flavors and ingredients were decadent but simple. Money well spent. Will definitely be ordering again…Bravo!

Such delicious and fresh pasta!! Highly recommend! I’ve also purchased a number of their bottled sauces to have at home with my family. I can’t wait to go back again this week for dinner and to get more sauces.
