Highly recommended, we have always driven past and wondered ! so decided for an early dinner and drive up from Newy to see while throwing in a beach swim afterwards. A good location and setting and look forward to returning to a more feisty Viking time for eating to enjoy a more rowdy atmosphere. (We specifically chose an early time to go to fit in with plans on a Sunday so it was a little quiet at that time ) The ribs were some of the best in the region not to mention the best price and the crispy squid is recommended as well. Great beers on tap to boot.. the Chicken pesto pizza was the bomb along with the Nutella and Banana calzone for desert. Definitely on the list to come back too.. as with any good feast the aftermath is more important than the presentation, with the lack of leftovers I’m sure it’s says it was good.

My amazing daughter has just finished her Uni degree and we offered to buy her dinner anywhere she wanted in Australia. Well, she wanted to have dinner here!

We had never been to the Valhalla Restaurant Bar before but she had and after reading the reviews, on here no, I wasn’t convinced that we were going to enjoy the meal.

WELL….

Ignore many of the negative reviews because the pizza was amazing! There was live music and the stunningly majestic highlands cattle added a unique touch to the experience. We went on a Sunday afternoon and had a four unique flavours of pizza. The 149km drive from the Central Coast was worth it.

We will definitely be back!

Ordered pizza and half rack of ribs, both were delicious and the sides of salad and chips were on point. A little pricy but best pizzas I’ve tried in the area. Drinks were relatively cheap. Huge menu so a bit of something for everyone. Staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great, whilst it was busy it wasn’t overly loud, music choice were all classic pop/rock anthems and we could have a conversation across the table without issues.

Amazing restaurant. Perfect for any function, which for us was Father's Day. Family friendly, excellent menu choices and the food was amazing.

What we loved: piping hot fresh pizzas that aren’t your boring standard varieties, a great range of drinks, the friendly and accommodating staff, the smell of the wood fire oven and the lush grassy lawn. What a gem! We’ll definitely be back.

Been here a few times and their pizzas are always the best. A good challenge if you can handle the heat is the Thor pizza. They have made some recent changes to the inside and seating, which is great. Even better, they have Ekim brewed beer that is really nice! The cocktail that was made, Odin Tears, was one of the best cocktails that I have had (not that I have many). Highly recommend for families or adult outing.

We went at lunch time and the pizzas were amazing! The service was great and the only thing about the atmosphere was it was pretty overcast when we went which made it quite dark inside and other than other patrons talking it was really quite- we will definately go back!

Awesome place! Live music, great, fresh food, best wood fired pizza and beautiful atmosphere. Big outdoor area for the kids to play and run around, surrounded by beautiful highland cattle. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place and I'll come again.

I have walked into the restaurant and it is a nice relaxing atmosphere they have a main bar area they have an outside area for sitting there is a nice sitting area at the front you can smell the wood fire pizza oven burning before they even start cooking it smells nice the staff are really friendly and helpful and it has that real. Homely atmosphere I would highly recommend this place for anybody coming to Nelsons Bay or Anna Bay or Downey Bob's Farm as it's really nice from mwh the pizzas are so nice and you can even get take away pizza this place is terrific

Amazing decor, homemade pizzas are a must have, definitely worth the drive, excellent home brews for fair prices, would definitely recommend

Nice restaurant, place has a lot of Viking character. Staff were uber friendly and accommodating when we asked to move to sit under the heater as my kid was cold.
Food was so great! Wine was yummy!
Bonus we got to meet the yaks outside!
Great music! Very family friendly.

First time visiting today and best pizza I've ever had. Can't wait to keep coming back here.

Place is lovely pizza was great garlic bread had way to many chilli flakes and the drinks are way to expensive to take the whole family costs to much we have friends that won't go because it's to expensive to sit relax and have a few drinks my husband had a bottled beer wasn't a craft beer I had a cruiser so they were too expensive but a beautiful place BYO would be great

The best pizza i have had hands down!! The place is beautiful, the staff are friendly... it doesn't get much better!

We had a fantastic time at Valhalla. The food, service and atmosphere was just incredible. Such a beautiful place we will definitely be regulars! Cannot fault Valhalla. Highly recommended, you won’t regret it!

Good vibes with views of yaks, friendly customer service when they mistaken something for gluten free today when it wasnt.

Drove a solid 6 hours to get here and the best burger I’ve had in that long. Definitely worth the drive to get here

Most hospitable host...from the decor and garden, to the vibe all amazing. we are just so impressed with our experience, we will rave about valhalla and the mighty hot Thor pizza up and down the coast...delish! was also the fav but bloody hot and I mean hot!!!!!!!!! craft beer and the Thatcher cider were very nice and overall reasonably priced for a family of 6 thanx for having us definitely a must do for Nelson bay WILL ABSOLUTELY BE BACK!

What a great place, it looks a bit small from the road, but it is a monster of a spot. Great pizza and cold beer, no complaints from me.
