The Surfside Beaumaris - Beers, Burgers & Beds

I am TELLING you now. This place has the most insane burgers ever. By far the best place I have ever eaten. The vibe and atmosphere is on point with a fire going and the best view of the beach. Such good seating inside and out the place. And just to let you know again that the burgers are the most fresh and tasty things you’ll ever have. So happy with my experience

We were staying nearby and came in for beer and burgers. The fried chicken burger was right up there with the best I have ever had. Highly recommended. The fries were excellent, as was the beer selection. Staff are all very friendly and it's a nice spot to have a meal.

Stayed here 2 nights. The room was huge (family room). The decor and fittings were a mix of old and new. Looked like they were slowly renovating and freshening up the rooms. It was a few kn from the nearest shop, but we did make the trip to Scamander supermarket on foot using the walking path which extends all the way 4km or so each way.
The food here was a surprise and a highlight. Tried the burgers the first night. Excellent. Filling. Tasty. Tried the pike bowl and soba bowl the second night. Again, tasty filling and really good. The food was excellent, the beer was cold. It looks a bit dated, but the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stop here and great value rooms compared to nearby alternatives.

Great place to stay, but there was nowhere to put our suitcases. All staff were friendly and helpful. The meals at dinner were great and one could even have a alcoholic beverage because the unit was just a short walk away.

We stopped by for an early dinner and had a lovely meal after spending time on the fantastic beach just in front of the restaurant. The surfside deluxe burger was awesome. The bar lady serving us told me that the produce that goes into the burgers are sourced locally and the entire meal was on the money. After 29k kms around Oz I gave up on burgers many months ago after endless meat quality issues but something told me to try this place and I'm delighted that I did. My wife had the Tex Mex Bowl and was very happy with this. My daughter had the kids burger which she loved but wasn't happy when she saw mine!! All together a great meal and location. We'd be regulars if living in the area!!

We arrived pretty late at night in heavy rain but were pleasantly surprised by the lovely fire pit in the dining hall. The owners seem really nice too! Would love to come here for a stay next time

We just had the most delicious burger here at The Surfside. Lovely atmosphere, great, friendly service and meal and drink prices were very reasonable. Would recommend and will be back .

Cleanest, most modern motel in Tassie with the best vibes. Didn’t have a chance to try the burgers but the room exceeded expectations based on the price. Love that they are focused on locally sourced ingredients etc ☺

WOW!! Don't be deceived by the look of this place! this little gem has it all. Wonderfully upgraded rooms and at decent cheap prices (we paid $90 for the night) burgers were amazing and they had local beers to try. View from the bar window is amazing, as is the view from the rooms. What an amazing place to stay. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back

So good we had dinner here 2 nights in a row. Simple menu, tasty food, great beer and wine. And the view over the beach is amazing. Highly recommended.

I'm super glad to have found this location available even tho on agoda was fully booked. Room is super comfortable and cozy, amazing view from the room's balcony, amazing burger and beers, beach right across, great price, totally recommended!

Great little spot. You won't find a more friendly place with a great atmosphere and good pub food.

Stayed here with my wife while we did a lap of Tasmania on our motorcycle trip from Qld. Probably the best value, best food, best view from the bar area and best selection of craft beer on our trip. An easy ride to Bay of Fires and Elephant Pass etc to get some epic riding in too.

It is a tranquil perfectly located place with a great view of the ocean and the magnificent sunrise. I love the quaint little town with really great locals.
The rooms are so spacious, service is great with great food right there with a great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend this place

Great burgersbest burgers and beer haven't had a burger like this since the 80s use to be a burger place on the headland not as good as this but.best burgers in beaumauris back in the caravan 2026 me an sherl will be back for another burger seeyathen.

We ate here at their burger restaurant. Large meals, excellent service. Highly recommend.

I stayed for three nights in the group accommodation, mixed dorm room. The space was nice and had it’s own kitchen. Enjoyed my stay, it’s very peaceful in this area. Great beer selection at the restaurant

Two things of note - 1) pretty inconvenient if you’re a backpacker like me without a car, it’s an hours walk to the nearest town or shops of any kind, or you’ll need to hitchhike. 2) make sure you know there’s no wifi!
