I took shelter here from a tornado once, such a beautiful spot, composting toilet, perfect for a rest stop or to boil the Billy, love it.

I stopped by Pioneer Park on the way back from Kenilworth. The park/rest stop is very big. It is nice and quiet and peaceful here. There is a large grounds with grass and huge trees. The trees tower over the covered seats. There are 2 sections with tables and chairs to stop and have some food. Sadly there is no BBQ facility's available to use. There is a toilet block provided and men and women are separated. The toilets are long drops and the men have a urinal too. There is slow running water to wash your hands. No Camping or Overnight stays are allowed here. If you drive approx 15 minutes towards the Highway there is a Overnight roadside place provided with a toilet and covered tables. Would give 5 stars if there was a playground or something for kids and if there was a BBQ provided.

Great park for a rest stop just out of Kenilworth however public toilets out of action at present.
