If your into culture then attend this islands art centre, museum and tour. Full of historical history, dream time story's, songs and dances of each native animal to the region. The tour guide was amazing and gave me heaps of gifts. Definitely a place to be. If you are a racist I suggest you go to the UK or Darwins bombing tour guide or something more relevant to you. Mature and indigenous people, this is for you all 👍🏼. I rate 5,000 out of 100. Definitely going back.

unique part of Australia, the Tiwi Islands are an off-the-beaten-track destination for intrepid travellers. The two main islands are Bathurst and Melville, which sit alongside nine smaller, uninhabited islands. While there are minimal tourist facilities across the group, don't let this deter you from visiting; the islands are renowned for the excellent fishing opportunities and the locals are welcoming. Almost 90 per cent of residents are of Aboriginal descent and you can meet some of them on a range of cultural and wildlife tours.

We had a great day at the Tiwi Islands footy grand final and art show yesterday. People are welcoming and it was so easy to move around safely. We were lucky to get a ride over in a small plane, less than half hour from Darwin. You can also get a ferry that I think takes about two and a half hours. Tiwi arts are very special, including the textile screen prints with decades of history in their designs. Well worth going there.

We had such a great day here, the people are so happy and welcoming. The scenery is quite beautiful and it is a really unique experience.
