Severn River Cottages

We booked a 2 night stay.
Booking was easy as I did it old school and called Richard. He was so friendly and booked us in with no issues.
Upon arrival our email led us to our little cabin which was very clean and cosy.
The breakfast basket and wine were beautiful.
We spoke to Richard who was outside when we went out and he was very friendly.
Stanthorpe is a short 10 minute drive and other attractions not far away.
Very highly recommended this accommodation and will return in the near future.

Five stars all the way for Richard and Gail at Severn River Cottages (formerly Molly Mac)! Stayed in their Catbird Cottage and it was the perfect place to escape for a couple of nights away. Breakfast hamper and a bottle of wine provided on the first night, in addition to a set fire in the living area fireplace (which was a nice surprise when I went to light it in the evening).

Do yourself a favour and consider this as a base for your next Granite Belt experience. Thank you guys for a fantastic stay!

Richard & Gail have a very well presented hideaway. Catbird cottage was everything we could wish for - clean comfortable and well equipped. The cold nights allowed us to enjoy the very effective wood fire and the glorious days were ideal for photographing birds on the property and both birds and wildflowers at Girraween NP. We had a really relaxing three nights at Severn River Cottages.

Severn River Cottages is a lovely place to rest and recuperate. The location is fabulous with the only sound the wind on the bush and the call of the birds.
The cottages are cozy and clean with all amenities provided, so that you are sure to have a memorable stay.
The river is a bottom of the property and is a lovely place to relax and have a picnic.
Astro photographers will have ball here as the milky way is easily viewed.

The hosts are really welcoming with great communication. Everything comfortable, and super clean. The fireplace was already set up ready to go, we were welcomed with a nice bottle of locally produced wine, plus a breakfast hamper, and even some amazing local apple juice!

We stayed here for four nights and were so pleased with the cottage we stayed in. We loved the burning log fire, the presentation, the breakfast hamper, the complimentary bottle of wine and the attention to detail that made the stay so thoroughly enjoyable. We also enjoyed sitting on the chairs on our porch and the relaxed quite atmosphere in the bushland around us. What a great location. Thank you. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed at Severn River Cottages (formerly MollyMac) for a few days in late February 2022 in a one bedroom cottage. It is located in a quiet rural setting at Glen Aplin, with one edge of the property bounded by the Severn River.

The setting is peaceful and calm, but with just a short trip to Stanthorpe and the area’s many attractions.

The cottage was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and everything worked as expected. The lounge/recliner was one of the most comfortable we have ever found at any accommodation where we have stayed. There is a beautiful outlook, both from the windows and the outdoor seating area, to open space and trees, with a range of birdsong to be heard.

There was a wood fire, set up ready to go, and an associated outdoor fire pit, both of which were a nice additional touch.

The hosts were invariably friendly and helpful in directing us to local attractions and restaurants.

The parking is undercover and easy to access.

Highly recommended.

Lovely secluded cottage, well equipped and beautifully cosy for those quiet winter escapes. The cottages were clean, comfortable self-contained with a beautiful fireplace. Located close to many wineries and other attractions. The hosts were very lovely and helpful. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay on the glorious Granite Belt. Fantastic local wineries and national parks to explore and enjoy. We will definitely be revisiting.
