The Wedge

Fully fenced dog park with agility area, poop bags, bins, dog water fountain, parking & fully fenced small dog area (closed for grass replacement 9/12 - 16/12/2019). Visit the racecourse reserve next door and walk your dog then give them so socialisation in this dog park.

As we have a new puppy dog parks have been hard on him with all dogs of all sizes, but athe Wedge having its own "small dogs only" section was beyond wonderful. We will be back next week!

This is a great place for small dogs. It was my puppy's first off leash experience and being fully fenced made it very safe for her. There was too much poo not picked up, it's a small place and bags provided so completely unnecessary. There was one large bull arab type dog let into this area, I've never seen a dog park clear so quickly. Consequently the owner took the large dog back to large dog area. The dog was out of control and owners didn't have a clue. Unfortunately a dangerous combination. I will definitely go again but will keep an eye out and leave quickly if the same situation occurred.

Amazing fenced off dog park with a separate section for small dogs. 2 gates to walk through at each entry to prevent dogs escaping. Doggie bags provided, drinking fountain for dogs, agility course and some park benches to watch your doggies.

Great set up, perfect for smaller, timid or elderly dogs - exactly what dog parks parks need! The Wedge is this little area from my understanding, not the area in the middle of the racetrack like others are saying. Hopefully more councils do this :)

A great amenity for dog-owners. My Cairn loves it! Because it is a small area, owners are much more aware of their dogs and the need to clean up, but there are still some who don't. Evidence would suggest owners of big dogs are most at fault. Please, fellow dog owners, do the right thing! It's a safe area designed to stimulate and exercise dogs. Poo bags are supplied, so JUST PICK UP!

A really good place to take little dogs and dogs that don't have the best recall as it is all fenced and there's lots of fun activities for ther dogs. It's just outside the caulfield race track which is another great space for giving your dog a bigger run. The inside area at the race track is all public space.

Great place to bring your dog for a hang out with other dogs. Well designed and enough room for a wander and sniff.
Not a place for long fast running. Inside the Racecourse is better for that.

Thanks Glen Eira for such an amazing place for all the local dogs to play safely. A lovely and seemingly well thought out space. A massive improvement from former horrible block of flats and the rubbish dump it was previously for years.
It’s certainly a big thumbs up from the many resident fellow dog owners me (and my dog) have had the pleasure to meet since it opened recently.
My only concern is that is no safe pedestrian crossing between the Kambrook Road/Station Street intersections and Caulfield Secondary College (a distance of approx 900m) It’s a dangerous game of cat and mouse, especially at peak hour to cross the road for anyone getting there on foot from Glen Eira Road/the south west side of Kambrook/Booran Roads.
Ideally, there needs be a crossing near Wilgra Crescent bus stop plus one near Hudson Street bus stop too.
Just a thought.
Apart from that, it’s certainly a very much welcome addition to the area.
I literally get towed by my dog from home to Paw-field Park (great name by the way), every afternoon.

Excellent fenced-in area for your dogs. There are actually two enclosed sections so if your dog is shy you can choose to go there. Also there is water fountain.

Loved that dogs were seemingly segregated according to size so that the bigger dogs could rough each other up without affecting the smaller dogs.

Our dogs also loved the permanent agility equipment.

A great space for pooches to interact with other dogs with plenty of room to run play or enjoy some shade in either of the gated areas.

The one and only fully fenced, clean and separate small dog area park. Agility facility adds a lot of fun.

Fantastic small fenced in areas to let the dog's off leash safely, and for doing training and exploring with your dog's!

Our pippy Mocha loved this mew doggy park and so did we. What s grest idea dounle gates too!!
