It was amazing experience. We were a team of 8 people. Age in between 14y to 52 years! We enjoyed the beauty of the nature. Though the weather was little cloudy but it was ok. We took our Cap, hiking boots, some food, first aid kit, water etc with us. We saw other groups who came for hiking as well.

A beautiful hike through the mountains that gives stunning views of the Australian landscape. The day we went was very windy but was well worth it. The drive there included roughly 15 minutes on a narrow dirt track and there wasn't much parking, but was still okay to get there without a 4WD. Total hike time was just under 2 hours, which included time to stop and take pictures.

Great walk! Dirt road to get there, but 4wd not necessary. Path is very easy to follow.

Highly recommend this trail. Not difficult & the views keep getting better as you continue out.

Bonus: got to see several red-tailed black cockatoo.

Lockleys pylon lookout is a very underrated lookout in the blue mountains. Should be as famous as the three sisters.

I walked this trail in June. What a phantastic walk. Great views. We walked down to Acacia Flat/Campground and return. A demanding but rewarding walk.

Great walk. Different landscape than the usual in the Blue Mountains.
It can be very hot and there is not much shade in spots.
Take plenty of water, sunscreen and wide brimmed hat.
Take the steps up to the pylon and take the track to the left back down, the views are breathtaking.

It is not exactly a Pylon... It is more like a pile of the rock 🌟. Great view entirely way. Around 10km return. Road has few steps but mostly flat. Would easily can be done within 4 hours. Only road, can not get lost here. Highly recommended.

good hike! about 20 minutes on dirt road, so be careful. it is manageable in our lowered sport suspetion golf...
the trail itself took us about 1 hour then and 1 hour back.
we got a bit lost coming off the lookout, so many trails that aren't trails so be mindful you don't end up on the side of the rock face like we did.
we went on a super windy day and on one section there is no tree cover so it was crazy windy, could have been blown over.
best to go in winter because the flies we're pretty bad even in the wind

Nice and beautiful track with about 3 hours round trip to lockleys pylon. Could be muddy after rainy days and too hot in sunny summer. Be prepared. Very few spaces for cars at the trailhead and no toilets or bins. Again, be prepared.

Finally did the #lockleyspylon #track this morning. Approx 8km return with little side tracks. Absolutely gorgeous views over the Grose Valley. So different to the usual #bluemountains #bushwalk (felt like singing "the hills are alive"... #soundofmusic 😂) #dontgochasingwaterfalls (you won't find them on this walk, just breath taking views)

This is a truly spectacular walk with sweeping views of the Blue Mountains. Walking along the ridge gives you a real sense of "wilderness".

Takes 2 - 3 hours return at a moderate pace. Most of the walk is not steep, except the ascent at the end. Suitable for beginners.

It is possible to reach the trailhead by 2WD (when dry), but only if you don't mind it being knocked around a bit. 4WD or a high clearance 2WD is recommended.

Visit during Summer and Spring to see masses of wildflowers.

My favourite hike in the Blue Mountains. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and moderate level walk. Amazing 360 degree views at the lockleys pylon. The road to get to the start off the wall is unsealed. It is doable in a normal car but can get quite slippery and tricky especially when it's wet.

Nice and easy afternoon walk.
Great views all the way along the walk
Not much shade due to the bushfires but amazing none the less

Amazing walk. Access is via an unsealed road for about 8km so it's better suited for 4WD (still made it in a hatchback though). Great views of the mountains and walk is via an easy path. There's a few rocky parts and might not be suitable for kids. Definitely recommend!!

One of my favorite hikes in the blue mountains. It’s not too long and relatively easy and the view at the end are absolutely stunning. It would be useful to have a 4WD car to get here as the last few km’s are on gravel road. It also gets quite windy towards the end of this hike so a windbreaker would be a good idea. Lots of nice wildflowers blooming along the trail in winter.

A really nice walk. In general not too difficult for a people that have no walking problems.
I recommend to take water and some food with you. The lookout is a pretty Picknick place and I envied an older couple eating a nice sandwich there.
When it’s sunny, you definitely need sunscreen!

Amazing trail to do on a cloudy days since there isn't too much shade on majority of the track. Elevation gain isn't too high, pretty flat mostly. If you are continuing to Da Faur Head this is where the navigation skills are needed since the track isn't very clear.
