Laggan Pantry

We were told about this amazing place and made the journey there to see for ourselves. Just amazing food and so welcoming. The location alone is part of the wonderful experience.

I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough. To find a place like this in a sleepy little town was like finding a pink diamond. From the booking process to the service and experience was 6 star! The food is almost literally paddock to plate. Our beautiful waitress was so so knowledgeable and passionate about the food, articulating the flavours of each mouthful beautifully. The setting was stunning and being able to go out to the garden and appreciate the level of skill and effort in the meal is something else. I strongly recommend the Laggan Pinot noir and making sure you carve out time specifically for this little gem. It will not disappoint you

From the moment you enter the gate you get a feeling of relaxation and tranquility as you stroll to the restaurant and this ambiance flows inside. The food is spectacular and you can tell that there is love and care in the preparation of each course. The array of flavours is amazing and this, combined with local wines made for a very pleasant evening. The hosts are warm and friendly and the service is amazing.

Love this place. We plan trips around whether we can get here. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, the wine list is great, the contribution to local products is inspiring. They have a microbrewery on site and limited accommodation. You have to be staying nearby as it is poorly served by public transport - the closest thing you’ll get is the courtesy bus at Laggan pub and that is unreliable to say the least. Only open on Fridays and the weekends.

Out country way I never thought I would like a posh style meal. I'm a schnitty n chips pub feed on the country trails. Wow goldmine. 👌 washed down with a Red ale.

This restaurant, and the couple that own it, is just exceptional. Every course is carefully thought out and produce utilised from their garden to ensure guests receive a most extraordinary dining experience. 5 courses of culinary delights and we still cannot decide which was our favourite!!

Seriously the best food I have eaten. I could not pick a favourite dish as they were all so good. They catered for my gluten-free wife by baking gf gingerbread. Do yourself a favour and spend some time grazing here.

We drove 3 hours for lunch at Laggan Pantry and it was worth it. Five tasty courses, good wine list, beautiful location and impeccable service. I didn’t think it was possible to rave about soup but the broccoli and Gorgonzola soup deserves a rave. This was our second visit and, because the menu changes every season, we will definitely come again. Highly recommended.

A wonderful getaway with excellent food and cosy boutique accommodation. Sally is a delightful and thoughtful host, and justly proud of the well appointed cottage, nestled softly in beautiful garden surrounds. Evan's seasonly charging set menu, using produce grown locally and on-site is a gastronomic tour de force! Paired with a good selection of local and Australian wines, you will absolutely not regret overindulging and staying a night or two after a truly memorable meal.

Everything about Laggan Pantry is to die for! The food, the ambience, the owners knowledge and passion of each dish. I love how they support local growers and make use of the beautiful produce they have on site. We are lucky to only live 40 minutes away, we can't wait for the new menu (which changes every 4 - 6 weeks) so we can head back for another delightful meal. This was one of the best we've eaten in a very long time. If you live further away I would suggest booking their cottage for the night and making the most out of the extensive wine list.

What an amazing find. Tucked away in a village in Sth Tablelands magnificent food, tasty Laggan brewed ales all served in a cottage with lovely gardens. If you can visit do so.

It was an amazing experience, both the dinner and the stay in the little cottage. Everything is perfect and we truly appreciate the thoughtfulness and the great attention to every single little details. Delicious food and wonderful stay! Great thanks to Evan and Sally (and Obi of course!) for having us over Christmas, we had a wonderful time there. We wish you a Happy New Year!

Absolut amazing experience! Great food! Lovely beer! We spend nearly 2,5h at the pantry for lunch and I could have stayed for dinner too!

Absolutely beautiful and tranquil retreat. The Cottage gave us an exquisite stay with a very comfortable surround; a restful night; a very tasty breakfast and although a vintage place it had all the mod cons.
Dinner in the Pantry was a six course introduction into the culinary expertise of the chef. Using local produce we we taken on a gastronomic excursion from the tuna, through the soup, into the lamb and onto dessert.
My wife and I had a most memorable stay.

This place is awesome...incredible food and service and they make own beer. What makes it truly special is that it is run by inly 2 people. But they are two people that care so much about everything they offer.

I cannot begin to describe the amazing and impeccable dining experience we had at Laggan Pantry. As soon as we arrived Obi greeted us and Sally was a lovely host. The food was delicious and every single course was too good to be true. The space itself was beautiful and the Brewery had a rustic charm to it. Unfortunately we couldn't sit the brewery but still had a chance to taste some of the beers on tap. We cannot wait to come back. Please do not ever take the Lumberjack cake off the menu! That cake served warm, with butterscotch sauce and ice cream? To die for. Thank you Sally, Evan and Obi for an experience we will never forget.
