Pokies. The staff were so friendly.

Our favourite overnighter. Some back rooms can be a little noisy but no problems at all this last time. Excellent value for money. Great beds. Shared bathrooms beautifully renovated and nicely kept. Yummy food and warm fire in pub during winter. Great place for motorbike rides.

If you are heading through crookwell and looking to sit down for a meal, I highly recommend this place. The outlaw chicken was so succulent with brilliant aromas of sundried tomato and creamy sauce all to give you a completely huge flavour bomb in your mouth. The steak sandwich is a perfect bite every single time, the bread was fresh and the steak cooked perfectly. Everything was completely above expectation and to top of the mouth watering food the service was wonderful and staff extremely friendly.

This review is based on Accommodation only. Received a warm welcome by bar staff when I walked in. Check in was easy. I rang and booked a room over the phone & paid by card at the bar on arrival. I was pleasantly surprised by the refurbishments of an old country pub. I was in The Orchid Room. It was spacious enough with bedside tables, a table and chair, wall mirror heater and air con window unit and nice decor with a funky pendant light. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and well presented with a patterned duvet and additional quilt and towels on the end Bonus was the electric blanket (if you know the area you need it in winter). Down the hall was a sitting room and TV lounge area to relax in with coffee/tea making facilities. The shared bathrooms have also been updated with rain showerheads and a modern basin and fixtures. Though the shower had no bench a rail style cabin rack was on the wall and storage caddy on the the door with hooks so you can put your clothes up and sit toiletries on. There is a built in shelf in the shower recess for putting toiletries on. I could not fault the cleanliness and it is good value. I've stayed at other pub accommodation that was pitiful but this excelled in every way.

One of my favourite country pubs in NSW, the Criterion stands out for its great staff and simple but brilliant food. The menu always has something new to try and everything I've eaten here is good value and delicious. Burgers are usually so big you need serious appetite to tackle them and if you're a connoisseur of great chips you need to check out the sweet potato fries. We always eat here and it's even one of the best spots in town to get your coffee. They have Campos in the Cafe lounge and make it well so better off here than most of the cafes in town. Don't pass through Crookwell without stopping in!

Attended a wedding and had such an amazing night. Food was absolutely delicious and staff super lovely and friendly. Our room was lovely and cosy, we enjoyed our stay very much. We look forward to coming back :)

We stayed at the Criterion Hotel, and i must say the young lady behind the bar named Grace was awsome, very helpful, very friendly & very professional, i believe having staff like that is the key to having happy customers that want to come back.
Also the ghosts in the room called "THE WILLOW" were friendly & were not noisy at all.
The food was amazing and we loved our dinner, complements to all the staff at the Hotel.
Look forward to seeing you all on our next stay🙂

Lovely country pub. Really great quality pub food in the dining room.
Rooms are basic but beds are super comfortable. I had a room with shared bathroom, which was a bit chilly to walk to, but fine for a night or two. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Nice place if you don't need five star facilities.

Called in for lunch and a drink on Sunday 04/06/23 while passing through with our two dogs , staff absolutely fantastic, lunch was delicious and drinks spot on, will definitely visit again when passing through 🍻👍

Had a meal at the Criterion on our way home, food and service was great. Must have a good reputation as they were quite busy and as people left other's arrived.

Great ! Always a good place to gather and meet friends either for a meal or a few drinks. Friendly staff too. There's also a fabulous new coffee lounge there with really delicious home made cakes and slices and top service.

A friendly pub no are’s in the centre of town. Clean. Service was fast and efficient. COVID-safe messages are in each room of the pub. Meal was good. Big screen TVs are in each room. Parking is available on the street. This is a good spot to come and relax. Good atmosphere here.

Great country pub had a few beers here over a few days, also have Cafe inside opens at 6.30 great coffee and friendly service nice places to visit.

We had 5 for dinner and every meal was exceptional. Would recommend any of their dishes. Thanks Deb for organizing it. X. Also courtesy bus picked us up👍great night

Counter lunch for a friend's birthday 🎂 There was 25 in our party plus other's patrons, however, everyone was very impressed with the quality of service and food.
