The Majestic Theatre

What a great experience. Totally get the story told by a talented pianist. A older demographic and run by volunteers definitely a must visit if in the area.

This was the most unexpected and delightful experience I've had for a long time and I'm already planning a return visit. It made me consider trying to move here, I can't imagine how great it would be to be able to watch silent movies every weekend in this way. The organ player/owner - so impressive and his storytelling was everything! We watched the hunchback of Notre Dame and it was such a fascinating and fun time.

Brilliant definitely go if you are in the area. The volunteers have so much passion. Great film accompanied by an amazing organ and pianist.

The longest running silent theatre in Australia. Opened in the 1920s and lots of historical items on display. An intimate setting with dress and stall seating. A small bar with snacks available. Easy parking in front and next to the theatre. Located in lovely Pomona and a short 650m walk to some nice eating venues so you can make a day of the visit or arrive early for a lovely meal close by. Highly recommended!

Loved the atmosphere of the theatre, went to see Troy Cassar-Daley, absolutely awesome experience!

An intimate yet exhilarating all day festival of the Guitar with an eclectic cast of maestros from a 13 year old girl playing rock music to classical musicians performing at the Inaugural Noosa Guitar festival. The 102 year Majestic Silent Movie theatre was amazingly ideal combining an historic site with music covering the same time scale.

Great place to go and do / see something different. Very friendly staff always. The sound for live music is excellent and a neat little bar is good for a sneaky wine.

Had a wonderful time watch a silent movie. The gentleman who runs it is just so knowledgeable you could hear him talk all day. A most if you are in the area

What a wonderful place to visit. Beautifully presented form era long gone. Great old black & white movies. Loved it & thanks for keeping the old days alive.

We watched the silent film Nosferatu at the theater while they played live organ music. It was a really awesome atmosphere and a really cool experience. I hope this location continues on sharing old forms of entertainment with new generations.

A wonderful night listening to Barbra Striesland songs for two hours. Great music performed by two great artists and 5 piece band. 6 different shows and not one disappointment. For a 100 year old theatre

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, the Silent Movie Theatre showed silent Movie with live organ backup music. Have laughed that much in a long time. If you haven't had this experience get their as soon as you can

Wonderful old theatre. Went to a silent movie and had the bonus of Ron not just playing the old organ but telling it's tale in a very interesting way.

Fantastic historic venue hosting silent movies, bands and events. Flat floor auditorium plus some balcony seating that offers the best view of the stage. One of Darren Hanlon's albums was recorded here - and the acoustics are great.

Absolutely beautiful. I took my 88 year old Mum today, she and her siblings have been going to the pictures in Pomona for over 80 years. She had a wonderful afternoon. Credit to everyone, was fabulous.

Visiting the Majestic Theatre was a nice experience, watching a black & white movie with the only sound playing, was a gentleman playing an organ, ( nicely ), below the theatre screen. It was so different...
