Woodburn Riverside Park

A big improvement from when I grew up there really nice to have a BBQ swim and kids can play on the equipment...
Only down fall is very little shaded areas only seating for BBQ the kids play equipment definitely needs a shade sail slippery dip gets extremely hot...

Perfect place to stop along the old Pacific Hwy. The lovely drive along the Richmond River makes the detour worthwhile. Great little pie and cake shop and the cleanest toilets at the Information Centre. This town suffered during the floods and we never pass without stopping and spending a few dollars.

Great park for the kids , little beach for a swim , massive sandpit , jetty to jump off , bbq,s awesome locals

What an excellent place to stop and stretch your legs Woodburn Riverview park is. We stopped here on our way up to the Gold Coast from Newcastle and so glad we did.

Was so great to get out of the car and explore the local sites, at first we were just going to walk around the park and use the toilets. However, we ended up walking the main street, grabbing a excellent pie from the local bakery and enjoying around an hour in town. Highly recommend stopping in.

Seems to me that if your town is dying because of the highway bypass, you do something to improve your lot. Why not make Woodburn an RV friendly town. Set up a donation style/ small fee camp ground nearby the town centre and attract the myriad of grey Nomads travelling in the area who will gladly spend money in your town to help out. Just a thought as your pub, cafes and grocery stores will benefit, so perhaps they would get on board and assist with any funds that may be needed.

Beat the rat-track of the Pacific Hwy and pull off at Woodburn, grab a pie or two from the famous pie shop and take in the calmness of this sleepy town as you watch the waters of the Richmond River go by. The riverside park very modern and clean public restrooms and has undercover gas barbecues available.

Great town for a quick bathroom/lunch stop during road trip from Sydney to Gold Coast! New toilet and park facilities, very good for short break after long driving.

Much easier to get a park, at the beautiful new park, now the highway bypass has gone through .. but less shops still able to be open since that and the floods :(

Great little place to stop on your drive north.
Park is great for kids. Toilets are as clean as you would expect for roadside public toilets. Lots of little shops for a snack with friendly staff

Great spot to hang out have a feed with family let the pups run around on the little beach area, have a fish!! We love it!!

Woodburn is a lovely place, friendly people, they need our support to continue to grow stronger again. Support this essential little town. Enjoy its beauty. 💜💚🧡

Great park on the banks of the river.
Kids playground, BBQs and tables. Even a pontoon to pull up in your own boat.

Lovely spot for the dogs to stretch their legs after a long trip. Had the dogs on leads, they had a great sniff, bought a lovely sandwich from across the road. It's sad to see this little town have no trade since the highway upgrade. Not too far off the main highway, so we were happy to spend a few dollars there.

Visited the bakery first to buy lunch and had a pleasant meal by the river.

Great stop if your traveling between centres. Few places to eat across the road. Has a public toilet.

Very convenient place with the hotel and shops just across the road. It's beautiful. Nice Place to sit back and relax and woodburn which has just recently been badly flooded. Needs all the help that it can get from everyone

Very neat covered picnic tables with adjoining electric barbeques. Well landscaped area with clean public toilets and playgrund equipment for children. Local coffee prices are a bit steep so consider packing a thermos from home.
