Closeburn House

Lovely restored house in the peaceful upper blue mountains. Far from the main busy tourist trails but close enough to drive down and enjoy them if need be. This beautiful house exudes peace, tranquility and a romantic atmosphere. It's so nice, you will just want to hang around the house instead of going off exploring. Find solace in the manicured garden or chill out in the living room and small reading nook/library. Enjoy it with coffee or some fancy tea, and the bar is fairly well stocked too. The place is absolutely spotless. The rooms are stylish and the bed is nice and comfy. The bathroom with tub/shower is a bit small but they provide high quality bath products and fluffy white towels. The hosts are absolutely fantastic and have lots of recommendations. As foodies, they can also point you in the right direction for good eats. Breakfast is also a treat! I've been here 3 times and intend to keep going back when I can for some needed R&R!

A beautiful surprise hidden away in the Blue Mountains filled with history and charm. Paul & Steve share the same charm and warmth that they have created in their guest house. Walking inside the Closeburn House feels like you’ve arrived home. Paul & Steve truly care about your experience and will go above and beyond. Breakfast is delicious - the home made banana bread and home made relishes delight the taste buds. Well worth a visit to meet such a dynamic duo in a lovely place.

The service provided at Closeburn House is impeccable, and the room is both beautiful and comfortable. The two-course à la carte breakfast is beyond exceptional and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed being completely taken care of and feeling relaxed throughout the entire weekend. Both hosts, Steve and Paul, are delightful and wonderful people. It was a memorable weekend that we will always cherish.

Absoloutely stunning. The couple who own the house are so friendly and helpful. The venue is gorgeous! It is so well taken care of and beautifully styled. The perfect getaway with friends or romantic weekend spot. The delicious Breakfast was another highlight. Closeburn felt like it could be the setting of a Nancy Myers film or a featured property straight from the pages of Architectural Digest. I can't wait to visit again!

Our second stay at Closeburn House was just as special as our first stay last year. Steve and Paul are so welcoming and have created the perfect weekend getaway. They have comfortable, peaceful rooms and the variety of sitting rooms around the house are exceptional. The two course breakfast was so delicious and there is a great variety of restaurants a short drive away at Blackheath. A wonderful experience and recommended accommodation in the Blue Mountains.

Absolutely Amazing!!! We really enjoyed our hoilday to stay at Closeburn House. Paul and Steve are incredibly kind and they have put a lot effort into their home. we truly loved the atmoaphere and styling of the place. it's very quite, relaxing and peaceful. It was a wonderful escape from the busy city, and we are already planning to visit again. Highly recommend!!

I wanted to move in! Paul and Steve are perfect at what they do - creating a welcoming, warm and comfy environment. The rooms didn't feel like accomodation, it felt like home! The breakfast would have to be one of the best I have ever had. We loved chatting with them and hearing their story. We will definately be back!

We just had a fabulous time at Closeburn House on our latest Blue Mountains weekend getaway. The house is away from the busy noisy main road, just completes renovations and updates. The moment we walked in we were embraced by the cozy warm and family feel, and yet it’s stylish and spotless clean. The hosts Paul and Steven go beyond themselves to create such a welcoming ambiance, their passion and keenness to make sure their guests have the best experience is shown in the deco, the communications and the house rules. And the breakfast, what a 5-Star experience! We definitely will be back 😃

From the second we stepped through the door, Paul and Steve's hospitality was absolutely exceptional. We truely haven't experienced anything close to this, 5 stars doesn't do this place justice. From the amazing atmosphere to the 2 course meal, it was perfect. (P.s. the banana bread was to die for) We'll definitely be back again and will recommend it to everyone

Closeburn House is an "absolutely must do". Steve and Paul were fabulous .They were so welcoming. Our lovely garden view room had a very comfortable bed plus a bathtub and a strong shower pressure that were very much appreciated. The house common areas are spacious, beautifully decorated and provided lots of places to just sit and relax. The two course breakfast was fantastic. My daughter and I, unfortunately, only booked one night but we will definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Closeburn House. We visited the Blue Mountain for a long weekend to attend a wedding, and I could not imagine a better base for exploring the region.

The room were cosy, well fitted and impeccably clean and the house itself is simply gorgeous. I could have lived in the guest lounge area. Paul and Steve are possibly the nicest hosts of any bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. We enjoyed being able to choose from the menu for the two courses, though the banana bread was the clear winner.

I would highly recommend and encourage anyone visiting the area to consider a stay. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here with my daughter a week ago. As soon as we arrived Paul and Steve were so welcoming. We felt at home. The place is beautifully furnished and decorated. They couldn't do enough for us. Cleanliness was best I have seen. Felt very relaxed and at home. Will definately recommend.You are running a beautiful place guys. Well done. Oh and the breakfast was restaurant quality. Can't say enough nice things. Just go and experience for yourselves.

Our weekend stay in Closeburn house was like a home away from home. Paul and Steve were the most accommodating hosts, who were the most helpful in food recommendations, as well as sunset spots and various hikes. One of the most relaxing, enjoyable stays we've had and we will definitely be returning. Their little pooch Ted is also a dream blue staffy who is an extra perk to staying with Paul & Steve!

We stayed only one night in weekend. if I put it in to one sentence the place was amazing. With their service, the rooms, the furniture, the atmosphere and most importantly the cleanliness was superb. On top of that the most delicious breakfast was included to the price. Paul and Steve I thank you for operating this beautiful place and for serving us. Definitely we will be back with more friends.
