Hotel Etico at Mount Victoria Manor

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Etico and will definitely be back! The food at the restaurant was amazing, particularly the beef shoulder was unbelievably delicious. The hotel is grand and very romantic with fireplaces throughout. We had a drink before dinner sitting in front of a fireplace and immediately said we’d be back. The room was very comfortable with heated blankets and crisp linen. The buffet breakfast was tasty and had plenty of variety (hot food, continental, fruit, pastries etc). We felt so relaxed after our stay and recommended it to all our friends and family!

My husband and I stayed just one night and were so impressed. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast which is included in the price, and very reasonably priced. We love it that this business trains up those who need a little extra help and care, to be employed in hospitality. A great, and much needed, business. Will definitely stay again.

4 of us had a lovely meal at etico last night. Pizza, pasta and slow cooked beef were all beautiful as were the “home cooked” deserts. Service was friendly and efficient. Dining room is lovely, the open fires add to the atmosphere. A lovely place to spend an evening with friends enjoying good food. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for dinner (pre-booked of course) on a quick visit to the gorgeous Blue Mountains. The building is a beautiful vintage place with the perfect vibe - a great place to hang out. The food was great, the service was great and we had a great night. Highly recommend.

Beautiful heritage building with a gorgeous view out over Mount Victoria especially with all the Autumn leaves. The bar area was also very unique with a beautiful timber and cast iron design. Great stay for heritage lovers. I even saw a bunny on the front lawn!

Hotel Etico is a beautiful place with a great deal of heart. Our room was very comfortable and large with crisp linen and comfortable bed. We listened to excellent music on Friday night after which we had dinner in the restaurant served by the trainees. The food was great and service was charming and efficient.
As for Mount Victoria it is well worth the extra few minutes drive from Blackheath to avoid the tourist vibe and congestion and enjoy this relaxed and interesting town with access to many great walks, history and cafes.
I thoroughly recommend a break in Mount Victoria staying at Hotel Etico.

27 of my relatives stayed in this gorgeous little hotel for family reunion and we had 35 people for a sit down meal in the conservatory next to the bar. The hotel itself has been renovated to a high standard with lots of old world charm. The staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Go visit, you won’t be sorry

This awesome hotel ticks all the boxes. A quiet oasis in a beautiful setting. It's got charm, heart and bucketloads of old fashioned hospitality. The rooms are a great size and the beds are beautifully comfortable. We stayed for two nights and dined in both nights. The bar has a cosy fire and is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink - there was even some live music on the Friday night. The food was great with excellent gluten free options. Breakfast was an unexpected bonus and set us up beautifully for for a couple of serious hikes. And to top it off... the hotel provides supported employment options for young people living with disability that helps carve out a pathway to independence. We'll be back!

We visited the hotel for dinner last night and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel has been lovingly renovated in the Victorian era with cosy sitting rooms off the main restaurant. The restaurant itself was warm and welcoming with fires lit. We had the garlic prawn pappardelle and Sicilian eggplant and the quality was excellent and very good value for money. We received very attentive service from their staff in training. The hotel provides a wonderful training facility for people with disabilities. We will definitely be going back very soon.

My family had the pleasure of dining out at Hotel Etico last night and we had such a great night. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cosy with a band playing in the background and the service was the amazing. Thank you to all the staff members who made our night joyful and relaxing. We will be visiting again.

What a great vibe. We enjoyed a cheese plate and wine on the porch before dinner as the rain came down. A band played while we ate dinner and the atmosphere was beautiful. There’s plenty of spaces in the hotel to explore and chill.
We had a delightful time and we will be back.

We had a small corporate function (8 people) at this lovely venue. Everything went smoothly, and everything was wonderful. The social enterprise nature of this hotel, working as it does with people with disability, was very important to our business.

Niccolo restaurant at Hotel Etico was excellent — good, reasonably priced meals and attentive service from all staff. We particularly appreciated Trent and Brandon, who were careful to ensure our meals were correct and enjoyable. Will definitely return!

I recently enjoyed a delightful dining experience at an authentic Italian restaurant. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the service was exceptional. Each dish showcased classic Italian flavors, making for a memorable meal.

We were gifted a voucher to use at Hotel Etico by a client and on her recommendation went for dinner last night.
To say we were blown away is an understatement. Old world Victorian era vibes greet you and it’s matched with attentive, friendly and genuinely lovely staff. The cocktails were delicious, the food outstanding. We had calamari, lamb shanks, brisket plus a pizza and couldn’t fault any of the dishes. Packed with flavour, beautifully presented and timely! We also had to sample the desserts and they are Devine.

We had multiple interactions with the staff. From Aaron in the bar, Maxime and Trent in the service area and Lexi and Michael running the night. Every single staff member was a pleasure to talk to and nothing was too much trouble!!

Will definitely be back and telling anyone who will listen about the food and service!

Stayed at Etico for the first time on Thursday 28 December while driving north. From the phone booking direct with Kate, the excellent pre-dinner drinks outside and dining-room dinner (brought a local as a guest), comfortable bedroom, and breakfast before leaving, it was a complete joy.
The staff were attentive, diligent and friendly and, while I only travel up once a year, I will return. An uplifting surprise. 👏👏👏👏👏

Another night of great service, food and wine. The entree garlic pizza on its own is enough to warrant a visit. Two pastas - prawn pesto penne and the pappadelle with lamb ragu were tops for flavour. Only problem is the serves are so big it was impossible to fit in a desert. The service is very attentive and the wait staff charming. Choosing a new wine is always fun - a personalized experience not to be missed. Highly recommended.

I’m one of the organisers of a group that goes to movies at iconic Mount Vic Flicks and meets for dinner afterwards. We often go to Niccolo’s restaurant at Hotel Etico and the staff are always helpful, good-humoured and patient with our sometimes large groups, and let each of us pay separately. The restaurant also gives a discount to members of Mount Vic Flicks’ Cinelovers group.
