Melbourne Pathology Parkdale

My wife and I have regular blood tests prior to GP visits to track progress of various conditions. The staff have always been polite and efficient. Simple process, take a number and be attended too. Can't understand the poor rating I read so assume patient must have contributed to the delay or expected special treatment.

I arrived at the Parkdale centre on 3/1/23 at 8:30am for a Glucose Tolerance Test. I told reception I was there for a GTT and they disregarded the fact and I was told to just take a number. I waited 25 minutes before the pathology staff member came out of the room and I informed her that I am here for the glucose test. She asked what number I was and said ‘should be ok’ and proceeded to take the next number and ignore the fact I was waiting for a glucose test (there was 4 people in front of me at this point). I ended up leaving at 9:15am as a pregnant woman should be a priority for this specific test (they have signs saying ‘Please inform staff if you are having a GTT’) and should not have to wait (in a hot room with no air conditioner) to be seen - especially if the staff have been made aware what I was there for. This treatment and service is unacceptable and even though this centre is local, I will never be going back.
