A perfect little hideaway for an early morning breakfast. Fast friendly service and the food was superb. Coffee was amazing.

Easy to appreciate the rustic brickwork and little treasures around the seating area. Atmosphere was even better - music in the background, Bowie, Led Zep, the Doors, Fleetwood Mac and everything good.

Some places you go to you just want to eat and run, but here you feel comfortable, relaxed and don't want to eat and run. Thoroughly enjoyable and very welcoming.

Highly recommend stopping in to the Laneway. 😊

After disembarking from Spirit of Tasmania early in the morning go straight to this cafe. Its a nice place and have comforting food to prepare someone for the day. No photos of the food as when it was served to me, I just went straight for it! I just realized I had to take photo when I was done. :)

Great Cafe. Very welcoming and friendly customer service. They acknowledge you as soon as you walking in and assist you to a table. You get serves by someone straight away. They all work as a team ensure every customer is looked after. Food is fantastic, coffee is great and area is nice and chill. Pricing is reasonable and worth it for the quality of food.
I've come a couple of times with my husband and once on my own and hot treated well all those times.

After docking off from Spirit of Tasmania ship our group found this gem in Devenport. Breakfast is good and the coffee is awesome. Will definitely have breakfast here again when we get back to Davenport before leaving Tasmania.

All the staff were super attentive. Acknowledged us as soon as we walked in the door in a friendly manner, gave us menus and water immediately and took our orders quickly. The waitress was so upbeat and enthusiastic that it immediately improved our own mood. Food and coffee came out quickly and food was delicious, portions very filling too. Loved it.

Our first stop in Tasmania and it’s a good choice! Love the chicken waffles and latte with lovely staffs and great atmosphere :)

Their big breakfast is quite big and enough for two (we ordered extra sausages for a bigger protein hit)

Stopped in here this morning with friends for breakfast. The food, atmosphere and service did not disappoint. The music playing in the background was also great. I would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend the same to anyone considering stopping by. I would add that one should be mindful of time and the fact that much of the parking nearby is metered.

We had the eggs benedict, kids waffle, laneway breakfast and coffee. All are tasty and just right size.

I really loved chicken waffle! So delicious and special! The fried chicken is crispy combined with honey and waffle, very special plate I never tried before. Definitely will come back if I visit Devonport again.

A strong piccolo latte to wake you up instantly and oh super delicious chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict.
They have beautiful freshly squeezed orange juice and accommodated a smoothie request kindly.

The cafe is hidden inside a laneway... (and perhaps thats how they got their name haha), with extraordinary great vibes! Coffee was ok and they offer a great variety of breakfast/brunch/lunch options. The best thing about this cafe is probably their super friendly staff. I love how helpful and attentive their staff are, great vibes too. The service is quick, and they are very accommodating to special requests too. I came on a Saturday morning and it's veryyy busy. It's a cafe good for catch up and meeting up with friends.

Really chilled vibes, busy morning crowd. Great coffee you can smell as soon as you arrive. North African beans, best dish on the menu in my opinion. Fragrant full of delicious spices. So delicious. Great options for a range of breakfast plates.

Delicious food and excellent coffee. Also, very friendly and fast service! We had the farmers mess (a very generous amount of halloumi🤤) and the spices beans, both were superb and full of flavour- highly recommend!

This is the place for coffee and breakfast if you’re hungry and up early…go the Laneway Breakfast - did not leave hungry.
The coffee was awesome and being a self
confessed Melbourne coffee snob it was perfect. What made it a great place for coffee each day was the the staff -10/10 friendly and welcoming.
